!!! LONG-ASS REVIEW AHEAD !!!

Squid's third album is anything but cowardly. It is truly the epitome of experimental rock and, as far as experimental albums go, this may just be the most deeply intriguing one I have been recommended (which says a lot, as I am very stubborn with which songs/albums I choose to listen to one thousand times over).

Bloc Party's debut album 'Silent Alarm' is my first proper launch into the Post-Punk Revival scene, a genre (or more specifically a musical term) I had actually never heard of before by name. As far as debut albums go, this one is highly commendable as their music feels like it has been around for longer than 2005 due to its catchiness and ability to shift moods throughout the duration of the album.

Inside In/Inside Out is a very formidable first introduction to the indie rock and post-britpop genre - a genre of music I have yet to discover further, and is quite far (although not too too dissimilar to what I usually listen to) from my tendencies towards 70s/80s/90s rock and metal bands.
