I'm not familiar with Cafuné's music so I haven't listened to their debut yet but this album is NOT BAD 🎉
The first half is by no means bad but I liked the 2nd half way better
I obviously didn't listen to the 27 songs today but I listened to the extended version when it came out and today I listened to the additional songs and it was physical pain

Some people complain about the vocalist monotone delivery, but I think it fits perfectly with the instrumentation

Anyways, debut album from Alexander Stewart, Toronto singer-songwriter Alexander has been making music for awhile now, his debut single Enamorado was released back in 2018 but his breakthrough came in with his 2022 single Blame's on Me which is featured on this album which starts out strong with "said so" a song that showcases Alexander's vocal power backed by this simple guitar and drums

Mermaids is great and the poem versions are cool I guess
Search and Destroy is great but I understand why it was left out of the original
Some of these acoustic versions are better than the original ones

Know for his project Tame Impala this is his first project as Kevin Parker (although for some reason it's under the Tame Impala name)
The album starts decent with My Old Ways which is a Dance-Pop/deep house song with nice lyrics

A somewhat respectable follow up to Currents even tho it's not nearly on the same level
It seems like this band uses nazi imagery in their songs and the singers has some controversies to his name
While I loved the standard edition of the album I got left wanting more and this Japanese Deluxe adds 6 new songs plus a remix that while not perfect does make this better than the standard edition
