While I find it to be a bit too sugar-coated for my taste I can't deny that there are some really good/great songs on this bloated album
Favourites: the man, cruel summer, the archer
Least favourites: ME!, You need to calm down
While this isn't the most original and "lifeful" release from Mac DeMarco, I appreciate the more stripped back singer-songwriter guitar folk rock bedroom pop

D4VD debut album is fine, nothing that I hated but also nothing that I loved
At the end of the year I'll just ignore this album, I did not like it enough to get an honourable mention
Also I don't know if I'll ever listen to his music again even if he's found not guilty with the amount of dirty being thrown on his name

I've changed my score three times already given how much this album has grown on me
Everything from the album thematics to the indie folk/alt-country sound and the vocalist delivery makes this an almost perfect album IMO
This is a 2024 album that I didn't have the chance to listen to last year and I don't even know where to begin with. The cover summarises the album in my opinion, a guy making beats in the middle of the ocean
While not as good as Short n Sweet, this is far from a bad album IMO
And comercially speaking she made a great decision to release an album one year later, gotta strike the iron while it's hot
When you have albums like Madvillain and MM... FOOD to your name and you release an amazing album it's going to be "just fine" or "not bad" to your standards
However despite its obvious short-comings, this album is totally worth a listen
Never really cared for Ski Mask but this song is actually great
Sleepy Benjamin third single this year
This one comes after Pear Cider which I wasn't crazy about specially because it lacked originality when compared to his previous single Irresistible, which is one of my favourite songs this year and one of my favourite Sleepy Benjamin songs, Pear cider IMO sounds like cake by the ocean by DNCE,a song that i'm not a huge fan of
Mango, on the other hand, is an amazing tango-inspired dance pop and while I'm not in love head over heels with it, I ... read more
Fraxriel third single after his album Despise back in late February (which I really liked and highly recommend)
Although not bad, I felt like his previous single "Tell Me Father" didn't bring much to the table when compared to what Fraxriel has proved he can do
However with this latest single Fraxriel brings a lot more, the lyrics are dark and his whisper-y vocal delivery makes it 10x better
I think the song is a bit short, there could've been a bridge but overall I loved ... read more
Fraxriel second single after his album earlier this year
Overall I really liked this song with its dark lyrics about his ex but I think it's a bit short and doesn't bring much to the table when compared to Lift our rose
