Funny story: yesterday I was streaming on YouTube and reacting to songs submitted by viewers of mine. He really can do it all. Been meaning to listen to Flower Boy for FOREVER now, and I'm so glad I finally got around to it. Tyler's soothing vocals across this album, mixed with a couple moments of really hard rapping and production was really fun to listen to. Orphan source and fireside thaumaturgy are on such different ends of the spectrum and yet not only are they both incredible tracks, neither feel out of place in this insane album. I was very surprised to see just how much of a trip this is, as previous hyperpop albums I've listen to have ended up being merely a compilation of fast-paced dance-electronic songs. But my twee monsters takes a very different approach and ends up creating some type of atmosphere and environment with their songs. ... read more
