The Kid LAROI - BEFORE I FORGET
48

It's not bad but honestly I found listening this to drag on for quite a bit. Nothing here that's outright bad but there also wasn't much that made me turn my head and want to save anything to my playlist. Decent production but all around, relatively basic. (Listened on January 9th, 2026)

EsDeeKid - Rebel
68

THIS the guy in Marty Supreme??? Honestly, it's really cool seeing a young rapper just pop off in popularity out of nowhere. And while I may not be HUGE on these songs, I can completely see the appeal and I'm really happy to see EsDeeKid succeed. He's definitely a really good rapper and had a lot of good bars on a lot of these tracks. I think my biggest grudge is the production but I honestly really don't mind this album. Still managed to have a decently fun time with this, ... read more

Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper
97

Vanisher, Horizon Scraper. WOW. This one definitely falls into that small category of projects that superceed being just an album. The experience that is VHS is astonishing, and with the grandiose nature of the album never wavering for a moment, it's certainly a lot to digest! As such, I can no doubt see myself listening to this album more and more as time goes on, and maybe eventually giving this a perfect score. For now though, I'll give it a 97. Off-rip I'm unsure of how much ... read more

EXO - OBSESSION
79

We getting cultural in 2026 LOL this is the first KPOP album I've listened to and I'm in this weird scenario because I don't see myself relistening to most of these tracks, but I honestly really liked every song off of here. Obviously the fact that each song is in Korean is something that I won't dock points for, so I'll just say straight-up that I was extremely impressed by Obsession. I've heard the title track before and I love that insane beat/bass it brings, ... read more

Addison Rae - Addison
82

First album listen of 2026! Am I an Addison Rae fan now? After hearing Fame is a Gun through TikTok and having that be in my rotation these past couple weeks, I checked out Addison Rae's debut album and was honestly extremely impressed. She's definitely got a talent for this, and her voice is a perfect fit with the recent rise of softcore music. I love Fame is a Gun, it is certainly more upbeat than most other tracks on this album and I just find its vibe to be straight out of the ... read more

21 Savage - WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STREETS?
44

I never really cared for 21 Savage that much, and even with this release my interest has not risen. This was a pretty boring listen for me, and I don't really have much to add here. My favorite track was probably the only one that tried to do anything remarkable or interesting: I WISH with Jawan Harris. I also thought GANG OVER EVERYTHING wasn't that bad. I will also give a brief mention of that GloRilla and that G Herbo feature I thought they did a great job and added some bright ... read more

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
79

After being blown away by HYPERYOUTH, this is my second JVB album I've listened to and while I don't think it lives up to the quality of their 2025 release, this is still a really fun album! Their writing, lyrics, and performances honestly never get old. I also really liked that Danny Brown feature, but overall NO HANDS just has less hype and dance-vibes than HYPERYOUTH. As good as the production itself is, they have clearly largely improved upon it in the year since this album's ... read more

PARTYOF2 - AMERIKA'S NEXT TOP PARTY!
91

OUT OF BODY is honestly a contender for best track of 2025 for me (aside from world's end). I was really surprised by how good this was, the production of each track off of AMERIKA'S NEXT TOP PARTY was amazing and the duo of SWIM and Jadagrace work incredibly together. Their synergy is probably best showcased off of FRIENDLY FIRE, I really like how both of these artists equally shine and bring a lot to the table. HEAVEN ON EARTH is also an incredible ending to cap off the album. I do ... read more

Tobias Green - Fog
92

This is a big one for me. I've known Tobias for over half-a-decade at this point, and seeing him embark on his music career back in 2022 with his release of Entry Problem, I've known how much talent he has. Fog is the culmination of nearly three years of dedication and hard work by Tobias, learning and mastering his craft piece by piece. And what we get here is nothing short of incredible.

With Fog, Tobias teleports you to this whole different environment that he creates and ... read more

Tame Impala - Deadbeat
36

Currents is to Drake as Deadbeat is to Tame Impala, unfortunately. I'm sorry but there's actually zero reason for this album to have taken five years to come out. It's minimalistic feel comes completely out of left field considering what I've come to love Tame Impala for: his incredibly atmospheric, almost world-building, music. So when he makes songs like most of what is seen on Deadbeat, it's just simply a large step-down in quality from his previous works. Only song ... read more

OsamaSon - psykotic
50

Half of me is saying this is atrocious, the other half is saying this isn't actually bad. I'm kinda fifty-fifty with the rising rage scene all together, I'm actually a fan of Destroy Lonely but not too big on Ken Carson. As this is my first time listening to OsamaSon, I'd actually put him above Ken Carson, who to my knowledge has a pretty built-up and dedicated fanbase. Most of the production is so insane and atrocious, that I don't even know if it works for me or not. ... read more

Mariah Carey - Here For It All
86

For thirty-nine minutes it felt like I wasn't in the decade of the 2020s anymore. These tracks really feel like something that you'd hear on the radio in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and I actually mean that in a really good way! The nostalgic feel that these tracks give off have much to do with the simple and straight-forward production, all the while Mariah Carrey absolutely dominates and puts her talent on full display, as she should! While I am of course familiar with Mariah ... read more

Charli xcx - how i'm feeling now
67

I really am not sure what to think of this album. It's dominated with incredibly unconventional production choices, which half of the time work for me, and half of the time doesn't. But if I were to lean one way or another, I think I'm a fan of it. There were several moments where I was actually very impressed by Charli XCX, as the only other album of hers that I listened to was brat which is more straight-forward than how i'm feeling. Couple favorites of mine were claws and ... read more

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
43

Alright I'll say it, I'm lowkey a Swiftie. Which is why I'm even more disspointed after listening to this album. After the first couple of tracks, I was truly wondering why this album was receiving so much widespread hate, as I found it establish its own tone and atmosphere pretty well with the first tracks featuring some pretty good performances by Taylor. But as it went on, I understood what everyone was saying. It felt soulless. I think it clicked for me when listening to ... read more

ISSBROKIE - SWAGGOT!
66

Seven tracks in and I was pretty certain this would be in the red but this album pulled off a generational lock-in after the interlude, and I was REALLY relieved considering this is my third ISSBROKIE album I've listened to, so I'm really familiar with how much talent Brokie holds. Like I said, all of the tracks up until 2SHMACKED! weren't really that good. I found Brokie's delivery and flow to not match at all with the extremely unconventional production that dominated the ... read more

ISSBROKIE - MWAH!
56

I discovered Brokie over the summer with her album 2025 BOMINATION which I was thoroughly impressed with, it's still sitting in my Top 4 highest rated albums from 2025. MWAH! is my second album I'm listening to from BROKIE, and while it doesn't live up to her June 2025 project, I still found this album to be alright. Nothing too crazy, but I also didn't think there was anything remarkably bad. It's nice to hear some more chill vibes from Brokie considering I mostly know ... read more

3OH!3 - Want
70

One of the most inconsistent albums I've ever listened to, and I still had a good time with it! I might just be a sucker for nostalgia-bait with music from the late 2000s and early 2010s but listening to DONTTRUSTME and STARSTRUKK for the first time in, unironically, probably a decade was a jumpscare that I was delighted to hear. DONTTRUSTME in particular is an overall amazing track that I'm surprised I haven't revisited earlier, it's one of those tracks where I feel like ... read more

Night Lovell - I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY
37

From beginning to end, Night Lovell's I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY felt very uninteresting and bland. There were certainly flashes from time to time, and there were a couple moments where I was actually bumping my head a bit, but those moments on those tracks would eventually be cut off due to a weird music-making decision. GOLDEN TICKET was actually good for a bit, but the adlibs ended up ruining the vibe, as was the case for a lot of other tracks. LIFE SUCKS SO WE F*CK was also decent, until ... read more

Remi Wolf - I'm Allergic To Dogs!
63

Back in 2020, I replayed "Photo ID" so much to the point where it was engraved into my Apple Music's top ten most played tracks even years after I grew out of listening to it. Going into Remi Wolf's "I'm Allergic To Dogs!" I actually had very low expectations considering how I was anticipating much of the tracks to age poorly due how much I grew out of Photo ID, but I was actually pretty surprised to see how well all the other tracks were! Nothing too ... read more

Cautious Clay - Deadpan Love
81

I love this guy's voice. Cautious Clay puts his singing talent on full display in his debut album, and he nails his performance on every single track. From researching I also believe he was responsible for the production throughout this project, and I think he does a great job on that department too! Nothing insanely crazy or anything, but he does enough for what this album is set out to be: a mellow, vibey, soft-spoken emotional listen. My favorite track was probably Agreeable, I found it ... read more
