JID's flow and lyricism off this album was incredible, and with each track I feel like I could picture the scene that JID was creating through his amazing storytelling. Couple of my favorites were Kody Blu 31, Sistanem, Just in Time, and Money. In terms of quality, this album felt very consistent on delivering great songs. I didn't really find anything that left be astonished but I still liked listening to this project, especially considering how overdue I am in terms of finally ... read more
While there wasn't anything extremely mindblowing or captivating, this was definetly an album that I found myself vibing to throughout the entire runtime! And although I tend not to listen to electronic albums that much, I can say for sure that I had a pretty good time listening to this. It's in that weird zone for me where there wasn't anything incredible that I could pick out, but at the same time I won't rule out the possibility of me giving this album a couple relistens ... read more
Definitely had several instances where I thought this album was too bloated and boring, but I won't deny that there were also a couple really strong moments here. The ending to I Could Have Done This Myself was a special moment in particular where I felt like I was floating haha so Lightspeed Champion here most certainly showcases a lot of talent off of this project. It's just that those amazing moments where the album feels so grand and incredible are too few and far between to have ... read more
FANTANO THIS IS WHAT NO SKIPS LOOK LIKE YOU CUE BALL There genuinely wasn't a single moment off this album that I didn't enjoy. I actually think I bumped my head for 28 minutes straight, but that's just exactly what you get with the level of production that Tyler showcases. I also find his delivery, flows, bars, and performances to be extremely good with each track. And while of course most of this project was moreso a showcase of banger tracks by Tyler as he strayed away from ... read more
Tracklist so loaded it's like watching the avengers assemble. Glad I finally got around to listening to this! Although I don't think this is album of the year, I still really enjoy the sheer amount of quality that this album has. Goes without saying, but the production is ethereal all throughout, and the performances by everyone made for an amazing listen and I personally wouldn't say there were any low points on this album. I will say though that I believe The Birds Don't ... read more
If the second half of this album was made into its own EP then that would have a way higher rating than what I'm giving. Starting off this album, I found a lot of these tracks to be really uninteresting in terms of production and delivery. But this is one of those projects where you can practically pinpoint when the album just locks in and I had a much more enjoyable listen throughout the latter part of the tracklist. That production and flow on Sorry was ethereal, and I loved the vibes ... read more
The radar of United Airlines Flight 1673 after what I did to the pilot on June 29th, 2025:
Yet again another prime example of insanely underrated talent. Found this album from ljjr promoting it on TikTok, and after finally coming around to check it out... WOW this guy has crazy potential. Starting to think was already embedded into my mind with it's catchy flow from the snippets off of TikTok, but I was still unprepared for how many bangers were going to be off of this project. Too much to ask went crazy and is probably my favorite track off this album, with dying to see you ... read more
I could easily see myself rerating this to a perfect score, but I'll keep it here for now due to a fair share of moments that I found to be relatively basic during my first listen. With that being said though, wow. What an album. I think I can confidently say that Headlock is among my top five songs of all time. And with that being the only song I knew before going into this album, I had relatively high expectations. At the same time though, I didn't want to keep them too high ... read more
While admittedly there weren't really many tracks here that left me wanting to return to this in the future, I cannot deny how much I appreciate this album as a historical piece of work. Listening to this album feels like you've been transported twenty years in the past, and to hear much of Paris' deep lyricism critiquing early 2000's American politics and society be able to be applied to today is something that really makes you reflect. I went into this album with very ... read more
I love these types of albums haha I really enjoyed the skits and the gimmick to this project, and Zay Dante definitely showcases a lot of talent and potential during a lot of moments off these tracks, but I feel like his execution wasn't exactly for me. I really respect how much he's into his rapping but it gets a little too goofy for my liking most times. Like I said though, a lot of potential and talent showcased here mixed with a very fun gimmick, Zay Dante managed to still create ... read more
Egotrip without the trip 😢 okay but honestly going into this project I was expecting a much more significant drop in quality compared to John Michel's latest project, but Sinful Temptations surprisingly holds its own extremely well and still manages to deliver banger after banger! Head in the Clouds, Foundation, and Money were all incredible listens, and even the lesser tracks for me still weren't terrible by any means. For his first ever project, this is absolutely amazing. While ... read more
Great album! Really liked the vibes off this and I thought all the skits really added to the album's charm and contributed towards its identity. Couple parts where I thought the execution missed the mark and the most of the production felt pretty basic, but overall I think this album is really good. Standout track for me is The Code, but I also really enjoyed HOOCHIE MAMA ANTHEM and found De Novo to be a great end to the album. It's clear that TRICITO has a lot of talent and I believe ... read more
Best debut album of all time. It's truly a robbery that a month after its release, there's been zero critic reviews because this deserves a tenfold amount of more attention. Zero complaints when listening to this album, its overarching tone is clear and successfully accomplished through varying energies with each song, of which I cannot name a single track that I didn't enjoy or didn't feel impacted by. Also worth giving props to all of the features off this project, they ... read more
Not as many standout bangers off this tracklist, but I actually loved the vibes of this album. While there's not many particular songs that I would continuously come back to, each track perfectly accompanies and sets the tone and atmosphere of this album, making for a great listen. Didn't really enjoy Lil Wayne's part on this but nonetheless, I found this album to be really enjoyable. (Listened on June 16th, 2025)
Incredible lyricism and storytelling. Felt like the production could've been a bit better but the execution by Sean Daley helps to make for a great listen on a lot of these tracks. Didn't really click with a couple songs though, but for most of the album I was really engaged. My favorite track was probably Shoulda Known, but there were a lot of other really good ones. Amazing album. (Listened on June 14th, 2025)
I actually really enjoyed the vibes off of this album despite how relatively basic of a listen it was. Felt like the tracks towards the end was kinda dragging on a little bit but overall this was a pretty enjoyable listen. (Listened on June 14th, 2025)
