Shoutout to my goat VitaTheProto for recommending this, because WOW I was really taken aback by this one. I was pretty skeptical with the first track but after that I had SO MUCH enjoyment listening to this. Might deserve a relisten since I put this on in the background while in vc with my friends, and I think this has the potential to even be a 100 for me, but yeah I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and vibe of this album. Loved it. (Listened on May 27th, 2025)
Fun Fact: my verse was based off of true events! On July 17th, 2022, I was driving a Black Chevrolet Malibu a couple miles outside Colorado Springs, Colorado. While on summer vacation, I taking a drive through the Gardon of the Gods National Park and taking in the lovely scenery. As I was making a right-hand turn from Garden Drive onto an unnamed road next to the Cabin Canyon Trail, I failed to turn on my signal, and also failed in checking my blind spot. Therefor, I was unaware of the biker ... read more
I didn't like this. Yeah Track 1 is kinda cool and charming as we hear these big-name artists just messing around and chilling like we do with our friends, but the fact that it does that lengthy intro only to lead into song with the production still sounding terrible is crazy. Is It Real gets a little better, but it honestly just doesn't really hit for me and I kinda view it as a nothing burger with everything about the track just being mid in my eyes. AI Girlfriend was a whole edging ... read more
First time checking out plaqueboymax's music and I'm honestly mad impressed considering I only really knew him for his streams, but come to find out he's actually a really talented producer and artist. Production-wise I really enjoyed this EP, however as songs themselves I thought most of these were pretty good, but not anything particularly amazing. My favorite tracks were oncam and meanstreet, and my least favorite tracks were nodrank and 007. (Listened on May 23rd, 2025)
Definitely not for me which I won't fault this album for, but I still found some enjoyment while listening. Took a bit for me to get into it and vibe with the album and although it is still not something I'd revisit myself, I completely understand the appeal. My favorite tracks were Supercell and Gila Monster. (Listened on May 20th, 2025)
???? THIS IS SO GOOD???? This far surpassed any expectations of mine going into this album. I was completely thrown off by the amount of punk/rock influence that this album has, but I am all here for it. Rico Nasty's versatility on this album is extremely impressive, with some of my favorite tracks on this album completely varying from one another in terms of tone and genre. Songs like CRASH and SMILE are really nice listens with the more chill atmosphere they convey, whereas I also find a ... read more
Pretty cool to listen to. First time hearing Vince Staples and overall I thought this project of his was pretty solid. Some tracks like FUN! and Relay weren't that good to me, whereas I did find most enjoyment in Tweakin' and Feels Like Summer. While I don't think anything was outstanding or worth adding to my playlist, I thought this was a good listen with a pretty cool gimmick. (Listened on May 17th, 2025)
With the stacked lineup that this album has, it is really surprising to listen and have the only good parts be ScHoolboy Q. A lot of the collaborative tracks have choruses that are either really corny, like CHopstix and Water, or just plain terrible. Floating in particular was an atrocious listen. However, a lot of ScHoolboy Q's solo tracks off this are really good. My favorites are Die Wit Em, 5200, and CrasH. Some really good tracks on here, just heavily weighed down overall by the ... read more
Solid album, but nothing outright amazing for me. I liked the couple of guitar solos throughout the album and there were actually some parts that were pretty beautiful like the last track as well as For Elise, not the mention the banger opener, but overall I don't think I'll be saving any of these tracks to my playlist. Still a solid listen though. (Listened on May 17th, 2025)
Imogen Heap is a goat but to be honest I was pretty underwhelmed listening to this. Maybe it's just not for me with the slower songs but nothing in particular stood out to me in this album besides I suppose Must Be Dreaming. I will mention though that I found Close Up to be the best track I listened to, but turns out that's not on the actual album </3 but yeah the vibes on this album are nice and all, but don't fully make up for a pretty lackluster listen for me. I didn't listen to their album before this one, but I did listen to Now, Not Yet back in 2022 and have been familiar with Half Alive for many years now. And this is honestly a pretty great step up from what I've previously listened from them! The first half of this album was extremely impressive, with Bleed It Out in particular being my favorite track. However the second half takes a slower turn that isn't necessarily bad to listen to, just not up to the standards of the upbeat ... read more
Bias aside due to my long-time friendship with Tobias, I really enjoy the step in direction that he is taking with this track. Comparing this to the tracks off his 2022 album really shows the levels in which he has been silently progressing throughout the years, which is a lot considering how much I enjoyed Entry Problem itself. Can't wait to see what he releases next now that he's given a glimpse of what he's become capable of.
Couple years ago, PinkPantheress was actually one of my most-listened to artists. So after not hearing of her for a while, I was curious to see what I'd think of her newer work. And BRO THIS HAD NO BUSINESS BEING THIS GOOD. There wasn't a single track that I didn't thoroughly enjoy, and the production throughout the entire album was absurdly great. Perfectly encapsulates the summer vibes that we're heading towards, and I can easily see myself rerating this to the 90s after a ... read more
Honestly with the exception of Sh*t Sad, I really enjoyed each track off this album. Pretty surprised to see the amount of hate on this project because I thought there were a lot of bangers and found myself bumping my head throughout most of my listen. Maybe not anything remarkable but I really enjoyed listening to this album and am very confused with the popular consensus but oh well, keep sleepin on ian ig (Listened on April 26th, 2025)
This is my favorite album of all time as of April 2025. It may just be a pretty good upbeat album for most but I've relistened to these tracks a countless amount of times. It's so successful in establishing such different tones from track to track. Life Itself and Youth never fail to soothe me and get me nostalgic, while Take a Slice just simply BANGS no matter how many times I'll listen to it. This album represents so many different things, and turns out to be way deeper than ... read more
Pretty good album! Definitely love the sound and overall vibes of this album, but at the same time the tracks sorta began to sound pretty similar to one another for me, especially towards the beginning half, where it ultimately became a predictable listen. With that being said though, a lot of these tracks were great and I had a lot of enjoyment listening to a lot of these songs! My favorites are Nü Burn, Turquoise Dreams, Mourning Haze, and Guts. Only good song is Slow Dancing in the Dark, which considering how popular and amazing of a song that is, makes this album a huge let down to listen to. Gave this album a listen with my boy LoveChaoz years ago and at the time we both whole-heartedly agreed with one another that this was certainly not a great listen. (Listened on August 29th, 2022)
Wish there was a lot more for me to write but the album doesn't really do too much for me. The songs themselves are alright and there's nothing overtly bad about this album, but it's a pretty basic listen and not much that sticks with you. It's like an album designed to be played in a Nordstrom haha which I must emphasize doesn't make these songs bad, but I was left wishing a lot more from this. Butterflies definetly the best track though. (Listened on April 16th, 2025)
