never in my life did i expect to be this sat for a kim petras album but here we are. i really enjoyed this on first listen and i can definitely see it growing on me in the future. 101 is incredible and maybe my favorite song on the album along with need for speed and freak it. jeep has grown on me a lot since its release, it was nice that she released a ballad before the album came out to ease into the slower songs. i definitely wouldn’t have expected it from her but she does it well. ... read more
felt like the songs were just the same over and over again and it went on a little too long but the songs were good
i liked this album alright. the cover art obviously aged terribly but i tried not to let it ruin the music too much considering this was the 70s and her black friends told her to do it??? 😭😭😭 idk but even ignoring the cover entirely this is still not her strongest work. there were standouts like talk to me, title track, and off night backstreet but overall i found this to be a little bit less engaging and a little more repetitive than joni’s other work
