I'm the Screaming Forest
Because I cannot stop screaming at how mid this sounds. I honestly praise RB1 for its uniqueness, it sounds very samey as such as like every album, but that one felt special. It was goofy in a good way and the flows slammed, the beats just hit great, and it sounded like a goofy dumb project to have fun on. The projects past it, as such with RB2 especially, have felt soulless and lacking the charm back with such mediocre-sounding production that riddles each project ... read more
Eh
Mach-Hommy is one of those mfs that seems like everything he releases is just throwaways, it's not terrible, but hot damn do I not care often for it.
Also, this dude is annoying asf for allowing lyrics to understand his writing, like tf bruh.
Don't have a problem with bro btw, just can't get with his sound if I have to be completely honest, not my favorite Griselda member.

This thing is like putting on an ASMR hypnosis video.
Femboy hypnotizes you into loving him (ASMR) (he loves you)
Nah, but this thing is wavey as shit. It sounds like a retro wave, like the personification of the vaporware sunset but more gothic and provides a darker atmosphere to get lost in. The production sucks you in with these synths at the very beginning as such with A Dialogue. Like immediately, it clicks you into this world and then throws you out with (haha) Out of Sequence. ... read more

Loves dropping fuckin candy packs for their listeners because holy shit I am pleased. Stepdream feels like the more cohesive and glued-together Kenopsia. There are more ideas and meanings, while also keeping a consistent package of the noisy shoegaze sound that was already present in Quannnic's debut. This feels more fleshed out, a bit more care was put into it for the sound, and it just feels more whole-sounding. The mix also sounds fucking great, there aren't much grainy edited ... read more
Gao likes burning churches
So, I remember listening to this album when it dropped a whole year ago, when I was in my closed-in-box state of mind because I didn't even like this project, only BLEED which is honestly surprising to me now. It only took a year but my complete opinion has changed because this project slaps hard. Emo rap has been done to death, as well as it's been done poorly in terms of just being the same trash recycled in terrible beats, rephrased lyrics, and lots of throw-away ... read more
We know what Chief Keef likes
That's Laughin' To The Bank like "HA HA HA" with 3Hunna Diamonds and Finally Rich like No Tomorrow. He sings Hallelujah and Loves Sosa because in his own words; "I Don't Like Bein' Sober," and wants people to "Understand Me" when he's Ballin' you know? Kay Kay?
8.3/10 Summarized this project
Another solid ERNESTO project
This thing still has ERNESTO's addictive flare with his flowy and lyrical components, albeit it's more jazzy than I expected which is still very pleasant, but sterling silver-esk songs would provide more oomph to this project as a whole, as such as his eventual catalyst being parking lot IMO. All in all, solid project, need more from this self-production long.

Sheesh, a double album in 2017?
To honestly pull that off is a miracle considering the stigma of a double album after the 1990s run of Biggie and 2Pac, the eventual finale with Outkast Speakerboxx/The Love Below, then the double album reputation tanked with a good amount of projects failing one after another with such people like Nas and the popularity just not warranting a double album experience since vinyl was phasing through a period of losing popularity and the attention spans of people ... read more
Bro really is trying to put me in a trance with this EP.
Well well, the first recommendation I have received from a user, @Malneezy, honestly kinda of surprised since I'm not known on AOTY, just a hobby to commit to in my free time and just live in my own secluded bubble, but another first is being recommended a trance almost harsh electronic noise album. It's the first time I've ever listened to something like this which made me excited when hopping in. That doesn't mean I'm gonna pull ... read more

You've done it! You've created beauty with this project that doesn't feel crippled like It's a Whimsical Afterlife! That might be slightly a hot-take which I believe, considering It's a Whimsical Afterlife, starts feeling lacking after a certain point and starts to get out of its elements in a couple of tracks, but this honestly sounds amazing and they all fill the space that I had problems with. It's lengthy, it's wide, it's harrowing, this thing is fucking great. It really feels ... read more
Go white boy go!
This man has created some amazing indie pop elements on this tracklist, it just sucks that he mixes the goofy fast and cringe rap throughout the project, it has charm which softens the blow of annoyance I feel, but it feels like I'm listening to just a young G-Eazy for some of the album which does not bode well at all. The thing is, it plops you straight into this muffled element of some indie lofi to even some hefty guitar sound that comes slightly from the rock genre, and it ... read more
God, where do I start with this album?
Starting this project, I was going through the first 3 songs and knew I wasn't gonna like this. I already do not like Jay-Z, which is another hot-take I would put through this review, but the main thing about this project that genuinely throws it so low is that it's aged BADDDD, like so fucking poorly.
First off, a feature from Robin Thicke is just sad, everybody knows already how creepy and fucked that dude is and how he abuses his career to try to get ... read more
So many songs
That this feels so fucking bloated, 26 songs? Seriously Summer? Goddamn, it's crazy to think about considering I took out 4 songs from 26 tracks, 4. That's really bad, most of them were meh, some were actually bad with miserable mixing choices or just super uninteresting filler ideas, and there was just the memo that was thrown in randomly. Although I say that, the 4 tracks I came out with are so fucking addicting that I've been putting them on repeat, it's the only reason why ... read more

With Zillakami and fuckin Sosmula doesn't sound like shit on this album? Hot damn this is a wonder. Honestly, this is the more wonky-sounding album compared to the banger and popping set list on City Morgue volume 2, with songs like DRAINO, MINIMIZYA, SCREAMING AT THE RAIN, and other tracks that slam. I say that but this project probably has their best songs like SHINNERS13, GraveHop 187, PTSD, and 33rd Blakk Glass to have a few names. This early era of their project showcased the ... read more
Death Grips stylistically
Dipped here? It feels like MC Ride couldn't make it to the studio for half of these songs on this project because the latter half of this album feels so out of style for Death Grips. The first 5 songs of this project, mwah, the style coming from the production and MC Ride's off-kiltered ideas are great, albeit slightly toned down from the average performance. Then it becomes more ambient produced and lacking, like very lacking. I was skipping through it and it just ... read more
Whirr feels lively, dreamy, they have ideas that crack through the standard with some good shoegaze.
Nothing is nothing.

Aw noooo dudeeeee Jane removed the happiness
I'm joking. Album gud. The more shoegazy and emo approach compared to Frailty feels more expansive on this project. I was waiting for this project to come out considering I didn't enjoy her more hyperpop glitchy side from said debut to this day I don't know why that is and I plan to give it a relisten to form my thoughts again, I still have this weird mental blockage for Jane's music like something is missing that hasn't clicked for me, and I have ... read more
