This project feels as delicate as it sounds
With the extremely quiet nature of how this project sounds to the very lofi and depressive implements it explores. This sounds like a shittily recorded karaoke session of calming songs from the 2000's and it genuinely feels like a nostalgic blast to the past. It's like a short depressive episode you just kinda put on and come out of it with a sigh of acceptance. It's weirdly calming to listen to this, while it doesn't have much to it, outside of ... read more
Our eyes get cauterized over tonight
It's a very interesting low-key debut EP for this band that will either form another name and release another project or come back with another project under this name. We'll see considering they're screamo it's about 50/50, that or they disappear which is also common. To say all of that, this project is packed with 7 tracks that all have their distinct interests and abilities that make the project skew in sound thinly as shit.
Let me take you through the ... read more
If unnerving rap or horror rap didn't exist, Gao is filling that void.
These 6 tracks shell into the sound of being unnerving, dark, and fairly ambient. There's a good chunk of samples throughout the tracks that give that angsty vibe with examples of speeches, a baby laughing, and drills being used, an example of some of that comes in FORENSICS using the drill at the very beginning before dropping into Gao's gnarly chorus. I do feel like some people dip or understate Gao's performance. He's ... read more
Thom, I think that's a sky of eyes, not a wall you silly man.
The Smile. Radiohead but without 2 members from the original crew. I have yet to listen to A Light for Attracting Attention which was their debut and you can boo and throw me down into a sewer, but it seems to be decent of a debut for as much as Thom Yorke has done. It's his second actual "band" debut with Radiohead's being Pablo Honey so I think it's for the better the project is way better in a sense.
Now, I have no ... read more
4 0 0 th review which I started making around review 310 due to complications with mental health and I decided this would be for some reason to have this as the perfect album to listen to.
This review is honestly more of a massive rant and spends way more time on meaning than it does actual instrumentation and production of the project (sorta, it sounds more like sympathy points in my review and I don't know if anybody wants to read that, if you do, I thank you for your time. People can ... read more
Kid Cudi please retire.
Your career will save you I swear. I'm pretty late to this release, but I knew it would fail as soon as it was announced. This man has been wildly inconsistent after Man on the Moon 2 and it has been shown in full force once Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven. Honestly, god bless his soul for even releasing that project. As well, without Kanye by his side, which is a hilarious statement because that dude needs extreme help, Cudi is genuinely extremely fucking boring and without ... read more
I've been in and out of listening to music
I might be phasing in and out of doing this hobby due to lots of mental health issues, I haven't been really on my writing game for a bit. I have listened to a couple of albums such as I'm a failure by Comforting and this album, which I haven't spent time reviewing. I took some time away from writing and listening to so much to go more into singles or just watch YouTube essays that piqued my interest.
I might've gotten a little too burned out on ... read more
La Dispute's lyrical style
Is one of a madman's writing. I have listened to tons of emo genres like skramz, screamo, midwest emo, etc etc. La Dispute is one part where I marginally get very interested in because they do death in such an intense emotional justice and one that isn't focused on themselves but on other people. It's very intriguing to hear the vocalist just sound like he's rambling on the song, or the page if you want to take into significance the meaning as a letter to a person ... read more
Corrupted Angel Files
j1nabae gives probably the most lighthearted production that I've heard of them so far, and I'm for it. This is coming from an area that has been full of mental health issues projects trying to express what it's ultimately like for the artists, which j1nabae isn't a stranger to, but I think this breaks open a can of worms in terms of just having tons of fun. It gets a bit tiring due to the majority of the tracks being samey, but I think its energetic nature makes up for ... read more
This is a little bit more wonky
This one marinates more of its songs with Running From My Friends and Tapetum Licidum nearing 5 minutes in length. I appreciate Salvinorin fleshing out its ideas on some of these tracks, which is a nice touch in building the tracks to be more powerful, but I noticed some of the production is strangely jank on some of these songs. Tapetum Lucidum is quieter in mixing compared to Hail Mary right after. Like you notice it immediately when it switches because Hail ... read more
This was intriguing but slowly began to lose what was charming about it
I heard snippets of the tracks, decided to throw this screamo record on, and was mainly disappointed. It has its perks for the first 3 tracks, feeling disturbed by the walking on gravel audio in Tunnel Vision 1 and then moving into this dark ambient guitar until it explodes into this loud boom. Drums are punchy and the snare is ghostly, the guitar is distorted and loud with reverb helping its case. The vocals kick in that ... read more
Extremely hot atmospheric DSBM
I cannot write much about it since it's fairly enjoyable Depressive and atmospheric black metal, but it's worth a listen for a more recent depressive black metal album. The riffs are disgusting whilst the vocalist provides a harrowing performance through all of these songs. Sullen is the best track and seems to be the most cared for whilst the other tracks are slightly lacking, but not boring which is what I don't mind.

Weiland's self-titled
Is somehow weaker than his Grimy Youth EP. It's too pushed into the cloud/plugg zone that I am not a fan of listening to. It becomes too molded into one another and unenjoyable to listen to after a certain point. It's impressive that he was able to get Chief Keef on his shit like congratulations. It's also an evolution as an artist for him and for people listening to him, but it becomes a backtrack in innovation in my tastes and opinion about the sound. This project ... read more
What the fuck is this
I cannot explain this project as well as Hexo explains it due to just how like...bro what the shit is this. Some tracks grip you into a Stockholm syndrome vice like HEART MATH. You listen to it and go "Bro this is ass...wait a minute why does it sound fucking awesome" but most of these tracks are straight skips of ass. Too many inconsistent and just wtf shitpost tracks on this project, like what the absolute fuck is ST!LL life is easy with that goofy Scooby-Doo ... read more
I love men.
Testosterone is flowing through my veins while I'm a feminine genderfluid mf is hilarious when in contrast with this project. This is straight pure-blooded testosterone with the first track inherently showcasing how harsh and "manly" these tracks are, being more centered on rough distorted guitars and bright twinkly xylophone. Allah's Plan is 100% the stand-out track on this project being the most concise and flows the best out of the entire EP. Second that to Platinum ... read more
I am alive :3
My page has been dead as hell while rating some albums on and off for a long time. It spanned from writer's block, mental health, and an upcoming trip to another city for a while, with preparations having to be made. Another reason was I just got tired of listening to some new stuff and wanted to revisit some backlog albums I liked, which made me realize how much Sematary grew on me so I have to update that. I'm back though and might have to get into a bit of a groove in ... read more
There are some actual redeeming qualities
I'm honestly kinda surprised since this project was pretty decent. Almost was better than Unrendered but had problems hitting the right places solidly enough in terms of back-to-back instances where Bones was in his bag. It was more hit or miss personally, but I like the titles on these more than his other projects so that's a plus.
7/10
I Feel Like Dirt
Describes this album perfectly. It feels like dirt. Boring, uninteresting, of 0 substance and all in all boring asf.
(6.4) -> (5.9)/10
Boner
Loves taking his sodium from how much salty ass is in this project. Such a boring project.
(6.0) -> (5.7)/10
Boner Unrendered his spaces
Because the song titles are back to the 0 spaces shit again. I say that though but this is the most solid project I believe I have rated, I liked more of this project than the rest of his projects I've listened thus far to not give it a negative rating. He can make amazing songs that sound wholeheartedly unique as such like CtrlAltDelete or ConnectingToServer. The rest are pretty good too, albeit their are some corny ass songs where he starts singing or has a ... read more
