Beyoncé - Lemonade
100

Lemonade is one of the smartest albums of the century. Beyonce channeled all her emotions and pain following jay-z’s affair into this emotional, captivating and moving body of work. Every song is a different emotion and phase of grief following the affair that she experienced and I love it. From Denial to rage to sadness to acceptance to forgiveness it encompasses these emotions perfectly. The lyrics are perfect. The sound of the album is perfect. The album is perfect

Beyoncé - COWBOY CARTER

Wow. That’s all I thought after listening to this album when it came out. I am a massive country music fan and when I heared beyonce was releasing a country album I was instantly exited. The single 16 carriages especially got me even more exited. And that hope and excitement was absolutely met when the album released. It is beautiful from back to front. The first tracks are beautiful both sonically and lyrically. The album then drops to a much more upbeat and pop sound that is easy to ... read more

This album is empowering, different and catchy. I absolutely love the idea of reclaiming black roots in music especially house and dance music. The lyrics are absolutely empowering and confidence boosting and the beats/backing tracks are just incredible in every way. I would say this is Beyoncé’s best album and I love her new sounds and style. There truly is nothing else like renaissance and therefore I find myself coming back time and time again to this “rebirth” of ... read more

Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia

One of the best albums of the 2020s so far. It’s still just as catchy as it was 4 years ago. Just like her previous self titled album it’s pure hits. The groovy disco music paired with the Catchy and clever lyrics create one of the best listening experiences. Possible the easiest album to dance, vibe and listen to. I love it

Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism

Such an underrated album!! The vibes are perfect, I absolutely love the summer themes and vibes throughout. I think the concept of going through the ups and downs of life whilst till being positive and optimistic is amazing! I don’t understand why this album isn’t shown very much love as it’s just as catchy and high quality as her previous 2 albums. I was hooked on the first listen!

Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa

This is a perfect debut album. The music is catchy and high quality paired with the lyrics that are emotional and meaningful creates one of the best debut albums in history in my opinion. This album is hit after hit after hit and is so easy to listen to over and over again.

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
90

This album is a pop titan. It defined the way pop music looked for the whole of the 2010s and still hits just as hard today. The production fits the album and its themes so well overall creating an amazing and easy listening experience that never gets old

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
97

I absolutely love guts. I think that its loud and rocky sound fits the lyrics and meaning perfectly. The album has moments of rage and anger but also of vulnerability and insecurity. The wiring behind the songs is beautiful and truly showcases Rodrigos talent and songwriting ability. The production on every individual song fits perfectly and they join together to create beautiful and impactful album about the struggles of being a teenager, breakups and also tackles the subject of insecurity and ... read more

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY
79

(This is just about the anthology tracks)
I think that the second (surprise) half of TTPD is very hit or miss. It sees swift return to storytelling and stripped back production that was used in “folklore” and “evermore” in 2020. The majority of songs on the album accomplish this very well. However i feel like as a whole it is not as strong as these previous storytelling albums and leaves more to be desired. I also dont feel that the anthology is better than the standard ... read more

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT

(This is just about the first half of the album)
I think TTPD is a good album, the lyrics as always are impactful and beautiful and i love the synth pop production behind it. However i do feel the songs aren’t as stand out as her other bodies of work. I also feel along side this that the songs dont have as much personality and sound similar to each other. However this album still has many hits for me and definitely is easy to listen to and is very catchy.

Taylor Swift - Midnights
95

I think midnights is another absolutely amazing album from swift. It sees her return to pop after a hiatus to focus on her albums “folklore” and “evermore”. I absolutely love the idea behind the album and how it tells the stories of sleepless nights and what that entails from revenge to love to insecurity to empowerment. I think the production is perfect and matches that night time vibe and the use of autotune and alternate sounds throughout only enhances this. Out of ... read more

Taylor Swift - evermore
96

Evermore is the sister album to “folklore” released earlier the same year. It takes the same idea of telling made up stories about fictional characters rather then swifts own personal life experiences and just makes it better. I think that evermore is very similar to folklore however i feel it has more depth and beauty to the production especially. The lyrics, like folklore, are perfect and suit the theme and vibe of the album perfectly, Each song tells a different story and ... read more

Taylor Swift - folklore

This album and its sister album evermore changed the way that i listen to and enjoy music. The album sees swift take a step back from pop and her typical sound and focus on storytelling within her songs. She stops writing about her personal experiences and instead creates fictional stories about characters she has made. Many of the songs interlink creating almost a world writhing the album. I believe this is genius and allows anyone to listen to and relate to the album. The production is toned ... read more

Taylor Swift - Lover
64

Lover for me is swifts worst album, now that is not to say that it as a bad album as there is no such thing as a bad Taylor swift album. However i think that lover has many many very light points but also a lot of low points. I think a lot of the production is cheesy and just not as high quality as her other pieces of work. That being said, the writing on the album is still amazing and there are still many points on the album where that pairs well with the production.

Taylor Swift - reputation
72

Reputation has one of the strongest starts to any album, the first 5 songs are all amazing and create a darker and different production compared to her other work. The theme and vibe around the album is perfect and her reclaiming her previously destroyed reputation whilst showing that there is more to her then what the media sees is truly beautiful and artistic. However, as the album progresses for me it looses sight of this theme and trails off into quite a messy and incoherent album. The ... read more

Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version)
92

This album is a pop masterpiece. The production on every song is amazing and such a drastic change from her previous 4 albums. The album is essentially mostly hits and massive songs but been the more underrated songs have the quality and capacity to be huge too. The albums is easy to listen to but can also be delved deep into as the lyrics and meaning behind the songs are equally as beautiful as the slick and upbeat pop production

Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version)
89

This album was made to represent a broken person and i think that it does that incredibly well, the songs contrast each other so much when listening in full, it really is a rollercoaster of emotions. The more pop songs still fit very well with the still very much country tracks. The vault tracks enhanced the feel of the album and cemented it as an autumnal masterpiece. As per usual with Taylor swift the lyrics on every song are amazing and work so well with the productiom

Taylor Swift - Speak Now (Taylor's Version)

PERFECT ALBUM. This is one of if not my favourite album of all time. The fact all of these songs were written by her on her own by the age of 20 is absolutely insane. The lyrics are absolutely gorgeous, they range from love filled and fun to emotional and heart wrenching. I love every single song on this album and could listen to it non stop for hours. Her mature voice suits the album very well however many songs are not quite as good as on the original 2010 album. The vault tracks further add ... read more

Taylor Swift - Fearless (Taylor's Version)
87

An absolutely beautiful album, the lyrics are insane especially when most of them are written by a teenager. The production is clean and i love the rock elements within. Every single song is catchy in its own way and her new and more mature voice suits the songs and adds to the album even more

Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift

A very nice debut album, love the country rock music and storytelling throughout. I think the album is very underrated especially compared to the rest of her discography and definitely deserves much more love and spotlight. Cannot wait for the re-recording
