This is the first Architects album I've listened to so maybe the long time fans aren't the biggest fans of their newer stuff (tale as old as time) but I thought this was pretty good. Nothing special but still pretty solid. I don't have much to say as I don't know much about this band and this album is just kinda average metalcore but I did enjoy it
Highlights: Elegy, Whiplash (favourite), Blackhole, Brain dead, Evil eyes, Landmines, Broken mirror, Seeing red, ... read more
It starts to get tolerable in the second half but that first half is really bad. Especially that run of Hey look ma, High hopes, Roaring 20s and Dancing's not a crime. Everything else after that is whatever, nothing crazy bad but nothing i'm gonna forget about it in like an hour. The first half is what brings this album down for me. I'll be honest and say I actually don't mind Say amen, most likely because of nostalgia purposes, but everything else is pretty bad. I think ... read more
When I was your man triggers memories of my first time getting broken up with ngl. Shit destroyed my little 14 year old heart but hey look where I am now, on album of the year being cool as hell. I'm a little surprised that Show me is rated pretty low tbh, that's top 5 on the album for me. He low-key kinda predicted the Costco guys in that song too which is bonkers. Anyways this album is still cool, although some songs haven't aged the best and kinda suck looking back on it ... read more
I mean what can I say that hasn't already been said. Listen to Rolling stone or Game over and you'll know why this is so low. Only reason it isn't a 0 is because some of the stuff on the back half of the album aren't as atrocious as the front half of the album
I think Solya has a real bright future ahead of her. I wouldn't be surprised if her audience grows bigger and bigger in the next couple of years. If your first EP is this solid I think that's a pretty good sign. It isn't mind blowing I don't think it needs to be, it works well where it's at
I meant to make a review to this earlier but forgot so here you go. I was sitting on listening to this album for a while, when i finally got around to it it wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was expecting more of a pop rock sort of vibe but no, turns out it's a post hardcore album. Not only a post hardcore album, but a great one. This shit is sick as hell
I would listen to this but "REBECCA LATIMER FELTON TAKES A BBC" isn't the most intriguing song name. I think I'll pass
NEW REVIEW: Old rating: 57
Alright so after half a year I finally decided to listen to this again and I'm happy to say that it has grown on me. This is actually pretty damn good, although it did take me a while to get used to his voice. I still hate Broadcasting from beyond the grave but other than that I think this album was pretty good. I didn't really care for Legacy either. It wasn't bad or anything, just pretty forgettable

I forget if I've said it here already or not but I genuinely think Jane is one of the best artists currently making music. She just doesn't miss, and this is no exception
Something about the cover art really drew me to listen to this album and although some of it isn't entirely for me I'm still enjoyed a lot of this and will be checking out this bands other work
After sitting on it for a while i'm finally deciding to do the arctic monkeys deep dive. This is the only album I've listened to by them and I think it's a very solid and fun album. This album has a few songs I don't go back to all that much but the songs that I do go back to are really good, and even the songs I don't really go back to are solid as I don't think there's a bad song on this album. Hell I don't even think there's a boring moment on it. ... read more
I remembered this song existed a few days ago and in my head it sounded sm better. I remember going into this again thinking i'd like it and never tell anyone but (thankfully) I was wrong because this is dog shit. It's one of those songs that sexualizes and objectifies emo women, or at least brought the gross crowd that does, which just isn't okay at all. Shows pretty easily that he just doesn't have any respect for the sound he's making and the culture around it, ... read more
EDIT: Just coming here to add that i now like NOKIA. Great song but that doesn't really change the rating for me
A year after Vultures by Kanye and Ty we now have Drake's version of that, a weird "collab album" where the smaller artist is barely even on the damn thing. If you're going to do a collab album I feel like both artists should have an almost even amount of mic presence but this just isn't that. Most songs on this aren't bad, they're just so ... read more
Although it starts off pretty good, there's not a lot that makes it stand out sonically which caused me to start feeling bored after a while. This just feels like basic indie pop which isn't entirely bad, but if you're gonna go that route you should add something that makes it your own and helps you stand out in my opinion. But I could very well be reading into it too much
It's probably worse than this but this is the first Mac Miller project I ever listened to so it has a special place in my heart. In this mixtape Mac is experimenting with a more poppier style of rap, and although I personally don't mind it, it's pretty dated and hasn't aged the best. I think THEE example of a song that hasn't aged well on this is Donald Trump. I know he's mentioned being against Donald Trump (the person) later on but it's still quite ... read more
I did start to get bored near the end but overall its pretty cool
Highlights: Taxi man (favourite), Space/Smile, Senor Siniestro, Four, God on speed dial
