Can't explain how much I love this song
This is the first Deftones album I've listened to so going into it I assumed it was gonna be slower cause that's what most of the deftones songs I've heard have sounded like, I didn't know they could go crazy like that but I really like it. I only listened to this album specifically because I thought Goon Squad was funny and it ended up being my favourite. This album definitely makes me interested in checking out their discography now
Ngl this thing started giving me a headache after a while. Maybe I'm lame but it just got too much at some point while also doing so little. The first two songs are great, everything after is hit or miss (mostly misses in my opinion). Before going into this album the only songs I had heard from Electric Callboy was Pump it, We got the moves, RATATATA with Babymetal and their awesome cover of Everytime we touch so I was expecting that level of fun and enjoyment the whole way through, safe ... read more
This song isn't talked about enough for how good it is. This is one of my favourite Tyler songs, production alone. The way he comes in is so cool too
The nostalgia I have for this is insane. Fuck Wilbur, but this is honestly better than I was expecting it to be. I was expecting to hate it but it's not that bad, I'd even say it's good. I would blame it on the nostalgia but I don't even think that's what it is. I will say though, despite every song being good, I can not listen to Sex sells. Listening to this again was the first time I sat through the whole song in years. It's not bad at all, it's arguably the ... read more
I love Westside Gunn but this album just has too much filler that really lowers the quality of this thing. Glad he tried experimenting but for the most part It just didn't work for me
Highlights: Mamas primetime, Kostas, Suicide in Selfridges, KITCHEN LIGHTS (favourite), Ultra GriZelda, Steve and Jony, The revenge of flips leg, AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME
Least favourite: LL BOOL GUNN
This review is gonna be a bit different. Mac Miller is also one of those artists whose music means a lot to me and holds a very special place in my heart, he's actually THEE artist for me. What Mac Millers music has done for me is something I don't think will ever be replicated. He was the artist that I was listening to everyday as I was growing up and maturing into a better person and he was arguably a part of it. Mac has one of the most chill yet dedicated fan bases I've ever ... read more
This was my first time listening to anything by Ethel Cain and it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting more of a Punish vibe the whole way through but to my surprise it's actually much slower and more unsettling than I thought it would be. Even though the first song is just noise I feel like it does a great job at setting the tone for whats to come later on. It's creepy and a little uncomfortable to sit through but has a strange beauty to it, which I think ... read more
This is a solid little electronic EP, she keeps getting better and better with every new release and I'm excited to see what's to come after because this is really good
This reminds me a bit of Good am, It has a bit of that charm from songs like 100 grandkids and Brand name. After finding out this album was made in 2014 that made more sense. As a really big Mac fan I know this album is gonna destroy me but this single has such a nice vibe to it. Rest in peace Mac, 92 til infinity
Jane is truly one of the best artists making music currently (in my opinion). She is seriously so insane when It comes to producing stuff, an great example of that would be her recent remix of Shake it like a by Frost Children and Danny Brown which had some mixed reviews from my friends but it was personally one of my favourite songs from last year. Can't wait for the new album
I'm seeing these guys live in a few weeks so I figured I should finally give this and some of their other albums I haven't listened to yet a listen, and I'm happy to say that this is very solid. Although I prefer their first album All killer no filler and the brighter sound that it had, I like this darker sound as well that was also shown in Does this look infected. Pieces is very catchy, Welcome to hell is sick, and We're all to blame might be one of the best Sum 41 songs ... read more
Sometime late last year I went through YUNGBLUD's discography and I came out not a fan but not hater either. I'm making the decision to go back and revisit his stuff to see if my mind has changed at all, starting with his first album. I'm surprised to say I didn't hate this thing. It's still bad but there's some songs that are pretty alright. Although bad at times he still manages to keep me somewhat interested throughout the album. The last song is pretty ... read more
Oh God it exists now :(( Have y'all seen that video of Danny DeVito saying Skibidi and trying to explain what gen alpha terms mean? Its awesome
I do in fact like music. My main complaint with this is that I kind of wish it was just a little shorter. Maybe its just my bad attention span but I feel like track 8 and 7 go on a little too long for my liking, other than that I think this is fantastic
