Very surprisingly good, entertaining and engaging all the way through

This album is so god awfully slow and boring omg, this did not and should not have been almost a hour twenty minutes long with a even longer deluxe version, some songs drag on for 6-7 minutes with so many references to shit and toilets, and just the right amount of slurs thrown in to make this uncomfortable to listen to casually or otherwise.

Fr there are like 2-3 good songs on this over hour long album, nothing outright terrible but endlessly mid and forgettable songs that plague this :P

this is my 300th album/project/fuckyou
(Not counting singles)

I set a goal this to reach 300 albums by the end of this month of September 2024. I only started listening to albums in February 2024, and at the start of the month I was at 220 so I didn’t think I could do it, but here I am September 30th at 10pm having just finished album 300 or my 80th project just this month.

I don’t get it at all :P

This should just be a single, there are great singles that are just as long or longer than this, there probably is some weird reason this is a EP but still i don’t get it.

Not only should this be a single but it’s also super overrated, maybe as a single I can see the appeal but when you raise it the standards of a LP/EP it just isn’t great.

I’d give it like a 7/10 as a single and a 5/10 as a project

Surprised at how recognizable every song on this album is, I’m not stupid and I know this album was fucking massive, but it feels like legitimately every song minus one or two I’ve heard somewhere else, which shouldn’t be shocking but is too me :P

Fantastic record tho front to back

My second entry into the deep dive of David Bowie.

I thought it was strange that the album had such a lukewarm reception when all the songs seemed to be well liked on their own, but I can see why now, asides from space oddity or maybe like Cygnet Committee most of these songs just don’t leave a deep enough impact on the listener going into the next track and beyond.

Yet again Bowie shows just how creative he can be, tho it’s not always for the benefit of the song.

I decided after revisiting Ziggy Stardust to try listening to some of his other work, and that leads me here, a very weird album to start the discography of one the greatest artists to ever live.

Honestly not all of the songs are bad, and some of the skits are very creative and done well especially for the time, but still not good a very very weird album compared to his later work (I have listened to exactly one other album by him)

Controversies aside this is a loveless thoughtless album, made for you know money.

Controversies included this becomes a album that puts down and undermines everything it is trying to say by purely existing, it is a waste of time to listen to and provides nothing of substance to the listener.

The album doesn’t really have anything to say, it kinda just acts to show he can make enjoyable music outside of hit singles, but there is nothing past the surface of this project it’s okay
