Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's been good to me

Cute voice cute instrumentals but as a whole it gets soooo boring
Best: Chance to Bleed

The entire album feels like if 2011 Ed Sheeran was a young woman with a really cute voice, and to me that's a positive thing. I love the simplicity of the album, both in theme and soundscapes.
Best: Vampire Time, the chorus has been stuck in my head for days
Worst: If You Let Me because of the awful Mumford feature, Flat Earther is also kinda cringe but at the same time kinda endearing

Iceage - For Love of Grace & The Hereafter

Banger after banger after banger. It's crazy how Iceage manages to keep the energy track by track so fucking high. The instrumentals are insanely good, the drums and guitar are so full of energy. The recorder solo on The Weak is one of the worst things I've ever heard and I love it.

“Sometimes I only see myself in my therapist glasses But I’m not taking it serious ‘cause she’s very ... read more

Experimental Rap is not bad, but it’s a significant step down for Peggy. The production is noticably worse than ILDMLFY or LP was, but it still slaps. The use of samples is still great, and the beats mostly sound good. Where the album falls short is on Peggy’s lyricism and delivery, which are really fucking monotone track by track. Whenever I took a break from this album, the first track after the break was consistently good again, but three tracks further I remembered, ah yeah same ... read more
