In all honesty, this was a good time for a really poppy album to come my way. So even though i cant say any of this sounded that special. I still liked it. Its nice, its warm, its soft. Cant say that the acoustic singer songwriter album about heartbreak with some electronic influences is really breaking boundries here, but its nice for what it is and it has some very lovely moments on songs like owe it to you and you know i know
This is the third beach house record im reviewing and i think im getting a pretty good understanding of the beach house aesthetic. Beautiful vocals, beautiful instrumentation and nice riffs. I suppose i choose this album because it came after bloom and depression cherry and i was just hoping for a bit more.
