Radiohead - In Rainbows
96

Listen to this right at the end of the day and it feels weird. This album is rollercoaster of emotions, I've laughed and cried during it. For a reunion album it's fucking insane. From 15 Step all the way to Videotape, every song has a certain charm that is so distinctive Radiohead.
The development of each song and album is immaculate. Perfection would be lucky to be associated with this. In Rainbows really made me feel something. In a world where everything's getting greyer and ... read more

Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
69

LISTENING TO THIS ALBUM I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. IT TOOK MY PERCEPTION OF DEATH GRIPS AND ADDED DEPTH, LAYERS, SYNTHS AND VOCALS. MC RIDE, ZACH HILL AND _______ REALLY CREATE SOMETHING UNIQUE AND SPECIAL WITH THIS LP. EACH TRACK FEELS LIKE DEATH GRIPS IN IT'S OWN WAY AND THEY EACH BRING SOMETHING DIFFERENT. FOR EXAMPLE; IN BB POISON THEY USE A SYNTH THAT SOUNDS TOXIC AND POISONOUS. ANOTHER THING I LOVE IS THE FACT THEY CHOSE TO PUT BOTTOMLESS PIT AT THE BOTTOM WHICH IS A NICE ATTENTION ... read more

Prince and The Revolution - Purple Rain
100

19th April 2026

This record is a spectacle of emotional, expressive, revolutionary music. And single handedly proves/showcases Prince's musical abilities in a way that can be interpreted in many different forms. It's drums, synth and vocals contribute to an up-beat, energetic performance from Prince and the Revolution that is deserving of at least an 100.

Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters
94

This is album is so different from what I usually listen to and has elements of both jazz and pop (according to AOTY). The addition of jazz makes it feel more improvised or at least a little unexpected which is what I love about this record. It's also really calming and a good album to walk to. Might be a bit repetitive for some people and might drag on but in my opinion it was great for my first album in this style and was a breathe of fresh air compared to my normal metal and rock.

Michael Jackson - Thriller
85

Thriller is an epic spectacle of contemporary R&B and synth pop. It deserves all it's praises. The dynamics of the record are great in my opinion as the songs start off softer with 'Wanna be Starting Something' and 'That Girl is Mine', then gets more intense with some of my favorite tracks in the album; 'Beat It' and 'Billie Jean', although the most recognized and beloved they still definitely display Michael's talent perfectly. His voice is ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
100

This album starts off with a track that's there more to build up to the second track - 'Breathe (In the air)' - but is still a necessary addition to the record and also serves as an excellent bridge between the second track but also the last as that's what I love about this album. How seamlessly all the tracks blend with each other (like one big song). This album also proves that albums aren't just a collection of semi-cohesive songs but can be all connected in a way ... read more

The Smashing Pumpkins - Pisces Iscariot [Reissue]
88

This album (although not one of the pumpkins' most well known) perfectly incapsulates the raw sound of the band. Each track presents a different style and overall tone while still being cohesive.

The guitar and bass work was done primarily by frontman Billy Corgan with James Iha and Drummer Jimmy Chamberlain covering some guitar as well. The instrumentation stays relatively the same throughout their discography. However, the dynamics and tempo are incredibly diverse. One song I feel has a ... read more

This album isn't as bad as I initially thought. A few tracks are quite loud and chaotic but I didn't hate it. The electric energy mixed with MC Ride's vocals feels raw and something I don't usually go for. My favorite songs on the album include: Hacker, Black Jack, I've Seen Footage and Get Got. In my opinion these songs capture the sheer ludacris and erratic nature of Death grips and condense it into something I don't internally vomit from. I could go on saying ... read more

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
96

This album is such a classic and I feel each song is rhythmic and with an upbeat feeling with country elements, something I usually DESPISE but in this format and context quite enjoy. I feel this album proves and shows how Fleetwood mac weren't a 'one hit wonder' and again all tracks on this album have the same vibe but also continuous like a story. Can't say I hated more than 2 minutes of this, recommend it.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland
100

The 2nd track 'Have you ever been to Electric Ladyland' is just one of the many tracks on here that incapsulates the sheer psychedelics and rhythm of Hendrix at the time and is partly why he's still such a big name today. Other tracks I love include Crosstown Traffic, 1983 (A Mermaid I shall turn to be) and ofc 'All Along the Watchtower' but all of them are A or S tier in general. The album also shows his solos and guitar work which in my (and many other peoples) ... read more
