Listening to In Rainbows for the first time was truly love at first sight. It's the epitome of everything Radiohead has done in the past, and everything they would do in the future. From the harsh electronic influences of Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail To The Thief and King Of Limbs. To the rock centered anthems of The Bends and OK Computer. Even with what can be considered early previews of their alter work in A Moon Shaped Pool's somber tone and delicate instrumentals. It brings them all ... read more
Consistent quality as usual. While it definitely isn't as magical or captivating as Sage's other records, it still holds its own in the vast landscape of 2020's hip hop. But I think there is 2 issues.
I'd liked to preface by saying that my issue is not with his lyricism. Its consistently the best part of his albums and why i love him so much. One, the production. Nothing overly offensive or boundary pushing but one thing I feel like it lacks in is originality. The beats ... read more
As I walk down the winding path that is a Navy Nlue discography dive, I've come to realise I don't really know what to say anymore. For his first studio album, I'm surprised it was this good. But then again I shouldn't be. Considering he dropped one of my favourite albums just a few months after this. It's a classic navy blue album. The deep introspective lyrics along with his very well styled production. Despite having very few songs I consider subpar, they are miniscule in comparison to the amount of pleasure I feel listening to this record.
With this album starting of Sage's 2020 run of high quality ... read more
