Mrgirl is actually one of the most fascinating people on this earth
Listened to this album getting ready this morning. Its cute. None of the songs are particularly annoying. Loved “You Love Me” and “Blue Like Nevermind”.
This album cranks up the ethereal elements of Titanic Rising to 100. Very uniquely beautiful, and I had the pleasure of seeing Blood perform "God Turn Me Into a Flower" live in STL back in 2023, which definitely heightened my appreciation for the album. It's very calm, and its an album I revisit everytime in im the mood for disassociation and feeling like i'm out of this world.
The better Weyes Blood album. This is the album that made me realize that people who compare Weyes Blood to LDR are actually idiots, because neither of them try to be eachother. Titanic Rising creates a unique identity and every track is a banger. Like the album cover, this feels like you're underwater but in a good way. Very spacey.
its most definitely a solid folk album. some parts do a feel lifeless, but this was my first introduction to Weyes Blood (the track Be Free, after it was featured in S6 credits of OITNB) so i'm innately biased. FRSTE feels more uniquely polished compared to Blood's even earlier works, which is something I find off putting at times. It kind of removes all actual folk-esque elements by taking out any grittiness. The instrumentals aren't very inspired either in a lot of the tracks. ... read more
i dont think a lot of the songs have replay value and its very repetitive at times. but its okay.
this is actually so buns, the vocals make me want to stab my ears out. some of the instrumentals are kinda fire tho
this album is soooo white, but not in a fun way. idgaf about Banana Man in the way other people do, I just think its a bad song regardless.
i think Ruler of Everything is one of the best meme songs OAT. I love all the edits with it but I will never just LISTEN to it. However, none of these songs are really playlist worthy.
it does not have the same synergy as ITAOTS, but I love all the songs on this album.
those 6 elephants manage to make the gayest albums possible. but i love how homey this album feels. great listen
the actual songs: really fire, so chill, actually really nice, relaxing, psychedelic, makes me feel gay, just an overall feel-good album
the interludes: kinda dookie, i definitely could go without them,
a lot of songs here are literally just TV static if it was instrumental, but I do love the atmosphere this album brings
though less iconic overall, i prefer this album over self-titled.
This album definitely has its flaws, but its best tracks are popular for a reason. I think its just another alt-rock album and thats okay. Outside of Muscle Museum, Sunburn, Filip and Unintended, a lot of the other tracks are very forgettable. But I do like this album as a whole. It really has a lot of that late 90s rock edge, and I do love it for that.
bars but im not a gay furry so probably not the right audience
I do not like the quality, but I will say I like some songs on this album more than I do on Face to Face. Beach-Life in Death is really good here, and so is Sober to Death. Scratch that, I love both versions of Beach-Life in Death, but I still have a somewhat appreciation for this album.
