honestly this album is like her second best behind puberty 2, this whole album feels pretty inoffensive and also is decently thematically, i just think a lot of the songs here sound too similar so thats why i doc off a lot. unlike puberty 2, it just feels like a slow progression to anguish every song. so no likey. the last track almost doesnt feel like it belongs there.
this album feels like it was meant for a musical. but its not. i think most of the songs have nearly the same tempo progression and they all kind of blend into eachother in terms of just sounding the same. I think The Nerve is a pretty good song. This just isn't really something i'd listen to now, but it was great when I still enjoyed it. I think one of my friends from middle school put me on this lol
metal of any genre isn't exactly my thing anymore. i think this album was charming and fun though. i hold it to the same standard as video game music
i've been going on a spree where im rating just about anything i was listening to during corona era. this song was popular on the side of tiktok i was on for a second. for what it is, i think its okay. its a bit morbid but thats obviously the point. im pretty sure this is based off a real case too. im not sure what the artists actual connection with this case even is, i would actually be a little weirded out if this guy was just sensationalizing this song for no reason, but i doubt thats ... read more
Cohesively this album is really awesome. all the songs are great. i feel like this is better enjoyed when you listen to the whole album at once rather than one at a time. thematically its awesome.
Let Down is overrated, tho.
Giving this grace, I think this was a decent debut.. It still has a lot of struggles that just seem to permanently waterlog any future albums. In terms of sound, I do think French Exit is a lot more "organized" and honestly expresses the elements of TV girl with the whole rapey-misogynistic-garbage-shit a lot better, to the point where I think some songs on this album are at least listenable. Lyrically its still bad, but in terms of audio mixing and production this sounds noticeably ... read more
going on my TV Girl hate train, might be one of the most overrated artists of the 21st century.
the REPITITION and heavy reliance on loops and seemingly random audio clips is cool artistically, but audibly it struggles so mad. vocally, its really whiney and the lyricism is probably some of the most uninspired ive seen. "Who Really Cares" and the rest of the TV girl discography desperately tries to recreate a retro-esque aesthetic without any direction and to the looks of it nearly no ... read more
it really wasnt my forte. just couldn't click.
what did...mean by this?
had some good songs i think
88 -> 95
the chaos of this album is so much more natural, as it doesnt feel as electronic to the point of exhaustion
i listened to this album quite a while ago. i think its solid and a bit all over the place but has a really nice sound, like a mildly obscure anime OST for an OVA that only the biggest fans of the series have seen.i will definitely need to explore more panchiko in the future
painfully long, had some bangers, had some misses. i think the album sounds rather sweet
i was mislead by pinterest into thinking this was shoegazey or something, but sufficed to say its really solid. -someone who doesnt listen to jrock, at least not since middle school. also the album cover is very tough so +rep for that
solid album with decent replay status thanks aiden
fav songs: hate to be lame, ceilings
