The news JUST came out that the OFFICIAL remix of Legendary Lovers with Chief Keef is coming at midnight TONIGHT!! So in order to prepare myself for absolute PEAK, I decided to listen to the album on which the original song comes from, which is Katy Perry's 2013 album "PRISM". Lemme just say that this was Prime Katy Perry and she had the world in her hands at this time, you can not convince me otherwise. This album, alongside "Teenage Dream" and "One of the ... read more
Y'know what? Fuck it, full Ye discography deep dive! I may listen to these albums spontaneously over time, as I still have other albums and other recommendations to get to, but I still want to dig more into Ye's discography because it truly has peaked my interest. As of writing this review, I have listened to 8 of Ye's projects, 9 if you include this one right now. KIDS SEE GHOSTS is the collaborative project of Kanye West and Kid Cudi, two people that dispite their difference in ... read more
I was feeling down in the dumps over this recent wave of 0-bombers on the website, so I just wanted to listen to some music to take my mind off of it all. I was thinking of listening to a more recent release while looking through the "New Releases" tab, either nothing really peaked my interest or it was an album I had already listened to. I was looking through my "Recently Rated" tab to look through an artists catalogue. I already listened to all of CG5, I'm just ... read more
I was recommended by @WilWith1L to check out his debut Mixtape, and I must say I'm quite impressed!! Wil obviously hasn't sound his set style yet, so this mixtape has a lot of experimentation on it. Wow, back-to-back experimental projects, who would've thought? It's a little messy, I'll be the first to admit, but as Wil continues to make music, his sound will surely come to him and he'll become unstoppable. Huge shoutout to two songs in specific being the ... read more
Experimental Rap, but it's all things that have already been experimented on and are known to work, so is it really experimental at this point? JPEGMAFIA has always been known for being the oddball of Hip-Hop, he mashes different genres together in ways no other artist before or after him can replicate. That alone is a feature that deserves some praises. However, as much as it is cool, it's like the saying goes, "Too much of a good thing turns it into a bad thing." There are ... read more
I'm not even gonna hold you to it, this song is just perfect. Both GameboyJones and CG5 compliment each other so well, and the instrumental is also amazing!!! It's an inspiring song about not giving up despite all the challenges life throws at you. I know a lot of people only know GBJ because of "HIT THE JACKPOT", but he's genuinely a really talented rapper and deserves a lot of credit for his work.
I know I already finished the original zero_one album, but I also wanted to check out zero_one:reloaded as well, the official remix album. TLT collected these artists like the infinity stones from Avengers. Qbomb, OR3O, 8-Bit Big Band, CG5?!?!?! All the big names are here it's so much fun seeing so many different artists with vastly different genres of music perform their own verisons of these songs. Also, completely unrelated, but can we ban @ManpetRemake please? Imagine being such a ... read more
If you really want to know what a perfect debut album looks like, then blow and behold!! I remember being super excited when zero_one first dropped and I thought it was one of the best albums to ever grace my ears, that statement still stands true today. The Living Tombstone is one of those nerdcore bands I grew up on, mostly with their songs about video games, especially Five Nights At Freddy's. They've only improved so much from those days and this album is solid proof that art can ... read more
This album is unironically Top 1 Ye for my mom. Ever since it came out, she's been open about how much she loves this album and always plays it whenever she has a chance amongst the normal worship music she listens to. I decided to check it out myself, and while I don't think it's Kanye's best album, it's still really good for what it is and doesn't deserve all the hate it recieves. There's still a lot of really good songs on here, mainly based on my opinion ... read more
💯🎊100 FOLLOWERS + 200TH REVIEW SPECIAL!!!!!🎊💯
While I was listening to the last album I reviewed, It turns out that I had JUST HIT 100 FOLLOWERS ON THE PLATFORM!!! Thank you guys so much for the milestone. Whether it be you met me through one of my reviews, you're a fan of my music, or if you think I'm ragebaiting for liking CG5 (I'm not BTW, CG5 my goat for real), all I can say is thank you. Thank you for sticking with me, even through all my stupidity and dumb ... read more
This is the most recent recommendation from @devynitelyy and all I can say is that they truly went 4-for-4 on this one. All of her recommendations have been really good and I have yet to hear something from her taste that I don't like. While it isn't the perfect 100 I gave to both "Blue Sky Noise" and "...In Shallow Seas We Sail", this album from Lil Ugly Mane is still super high quality and deserves the praise it recieves. The album is super sample-heavy (The ... read more
bbno$ actually release good music like "diamonds are forever" and "why am i like this" instead of releasing sloppy remixes of your not good songs (IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGE!!!)
While I much prefer the recorded version of the song, this live version is one of CG5's best vocal performances and is proof that he deserves to be taken seriously, even if he's singing about Poppy Playtime. This man has been in the industry for a little over a decade at this point and it's about time he recieves his flowers.
I am personally starting to believe that @devynitelyy is some sort of wizard or magician because I have liked every single one of their recommendations so far, and there's no signs of stopping it anytime soon. Once again showing my favortie main genres, as well as some secondaries that peak my interest, "Blue Sky Noise" is truly anything BUT noise!! There truly was something in the air during the 2010s because every album that I've heard, regardless of genre, has just been ... read more
I like the direction with the high-pitched voice and the instruemtnal is amazing as always when it comes to CG5. However, there's not really much going for it. While the drops are nice, and the music video for this song is cute, it's not a song I see myself revisiting all that often. I still like it though.
Two albums in a single day and they're BOTH 81S?!?! I know, I'm surprised too. I don't normally review more than 1 album in a single day, and when I do, it's probably cause I'm feeling a lot more locked in than usual. This one was recommended to me by the same person who sent me "Noguchi Blown Up at Kutsugawa" so we're going back-to-back recs baby!! I've never really tapped into Frost Children until now, this was honestly a great first impression. ... read more
I don't remember who recommended this album to me, but whoever they are, thank you. They also recommended me to listen to another album and I may get to it soon, but for right now, let's focus on this one. The English translation of the name of the album is "Noguchi Blown Up at Kutsugawa", which makes sense because a lot of these songs just blow up in your face with no warning whatsoever. It works super well though, so I gotta give it props for that. I've always been a ... read more
I was recommened this album by @yungabes_ himself, and all that I can say is that I'm beyond impressed. Abes definitely has a knack for production, and his skill-set shows well on this project. Almost every song on here follows through with what they set out to do. I say "almost every song" because "bxstxrds" is genuinely unlistenable. How did it make the album again? I don't know man, but Abe liked it enough to keep it on here, so I'll cut some slack. This ... read more
The second volume of Teddy's Headphones is here and while it may be shorter than volume 1, It's a lot more fun and a lot more experimental. Real Rimera Haters stand up, WE, yes WE ALL HATE RIMERA (/j)!!! The only reason this EP is a 9/10 is because of how BAD IT IS TO NOT BE PERFECT!!!! Ok, seriously, no more joking, This EP was definitely a lot of fun to listen to and Rimera is defintely trying a new style on this project while also revisiting styles from "BUSHWA" and ... read more
