Definitely a super underrated original from Charlie!! Definitely up there with my favorites and the music video is also a really fun watch as well!
TWO SHTEPPI ALBUMS BACK TO BACK?!?! HOLY I'M IN HEAVEN!!! She held yet another listening party for this album and I'm writing this all just as it ended. Now, sadly, this album isn't on the same quality as "are you lonely?" and the last song on this album, while heartwarming and nice, is just a weaker and less polished version of "you're not alone, dummy" off the original AYL. That doesn't mean that "a little bit." is a bad album. It TRULY ... read more
Copying over my score from the album review since I didn't want to flood my reviews the first time around, but this is a peak song!!! Tony and Marquis did their SHIT on this!!!
I was recommended to listen to this album from a former aquaintance of mine, but the way they worded it just seem very ableist. Saying Eternal Atake would "fix me" from being a CG5 fan, well here I am, one EA later and still a CG5 fan lol. This album was honestly pretty good, and I really love concept albums with stories even when you don't realize it. The story, from what I've gathered, is just Uzi getting abducted by aliens and trying to find a way off the UFO and back ... read more
I only know Daddyphatsnaps because of his feature on CG5's Patiently album and that was it honestly, and I was just goofing around and looking at his page, and I see he dropped an album literally a couple of days ago. Let's just say daddy put his phat snaps in this one... 👀PAUSE👀!!! On a serious note though, this honestly is a really good debut album for what it is. I honestly really enjoyed a lot of the songs this album had to offer and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality ... read more
I think a lot of people are gonna look at this EP and think that because North is Ye's daughter, then she MUST have a sound similar to her father. However, "N0rth4evr" throws that idea COMPLETELY out of the window and brings us a more modern sound similar to rage artists that have blown up as of recent. This EP was made BY a weird kid FOR the weird kids. Right off the bat, you're hit with the "Monster" sample, which was a pretty popular animation meme back in the ... read more
I was recommended this album @TheAngryBird (holy shit, the REAL angry bird!!! I'm such a big fan!!!) and I all I really need to say is that album is super short and sweet, but really holds a message that needs to be heard. With all the shit going on in America right now, It's hard to feel safe, especially if you don't "look the part" according to them, and it's scary. I promise that we'll all get through this sooner or later, things may look rough right now, ... read more

I honestly find it kind of funny that the album that got me into Michael Jackson was Xscape, a posthumous album released 5 years after his death. Now the album that gets me into Prince is Welcome 2 America, a posthumous album released 5 years after his death. This album is actually perfect, Prince was honestly so him and this album proves it. I know I still need to check out the big leagues known as "Purple Rain", "Around The World In A Day", and "Parade", but for ... read more
I love this song so much, and the music video being done in ONE TAKE is a feature within itself!!! Easily one of CG5's best songs and I wish more people would listen to THESE songs rather than... those... ones
Instrumental is honestly one of the greatest things I've ever heard, but the vocals really hold it back. Not saying that they're bad singers, but they're not singing with the attitude or the feeling that the song is trying to convey, that makes sense right? Definitely meant to mimic the feeling of a musicial, which for a song like this, doesn't really accomplish well, but it still sounds nice. Either way, I enjoyed it, but it could've been better.
Just got done listening to the album from the listening party and oh... my... god... this was absolutely AMAZING!!!! LONG LIVE THE FRANKENSTIEN ALBUM!!!! This album was honestly one of the best I've heard in a long time and I might actually be pissed if it doesn't get AT LEAST an Orange "Must Hear Album" star. Blue would also be cool, Purple would be ASTONISHING!!! But onto the actual album itself, It's obvious that it has an indie sound to it with the mellow rock ... read more
Only here for the Sleep Well addition to the mod. It was not needed AT ALL!!! It feels out of place and the cuts of Charlie's voice leading into the most 2021 sounding BF chromatic ever, It's just not good.

Score Transfer from Album, The song is really good, but Will just seems unnecessary on this song
Bringing the score over from my Album review, surprised that the score from over here isn't trasferred to the actual album itself, but we ball
Be so for real gang. One of the best songs of Thriller and you're giving it the lazy "dance montage" treatment. It worked with Love Never Felt So Good because that was a new song at the time. But this is just sad man, MJ doesn't deserve this, ESPECIALLY on the release date of the biopic...
I don't understand why one of my friends prefers the original over the official release. This version holds so much more weight and emotion to it compared to the original. The song just being recorded while it plays in the background before the grand slam at the end is the perfect reflection of what the song is trying to convey. It's a beautiful song, and definitely relatable for me as of late.
Dare I say that this may be one of my favorite rap albums I've ever listen to. This was another album someone suggested to me and I must say that this was REALLY good!!! I've always been a sucker for melodic/jazz rap, so this really hit the sweet spot for me. I've honestly been wanting to listen to more rap so I can get a better understanding of the genre, and from all the albums I've heard so far, I genuinely don't understand why some people don't like it. I get ... read more
DELUXE TRACKS:
Ok, now unlike the other times I've reviewed deluxe albums, they've always been separated into 2 discs, mostly just being the new songs and the original album. This one didn't have that, but I'd still like to bring these tracks up and how they make an already good album even better. "more chaos (the song)" was genuinely a fun listen, as well as "toxic and "mewtwo", which are mostly lesser known tracks within the album. I love me a good ... read more
Someone in an old discord server that I used to be in made a crazy comparison between CG5 and Ken Carson, two COMPLETELY different people from COMPLETELY different genres. So, as a CG5 fan myself, It only felt right to wonder why this comparison was made and listen to one of his most popular albums, case and point: A Great Chaos. The only Ken song from this album, and in general, that I had prior knowledge of was "Jennifer's Body", which became a huge meme on TikTok back in the ... read more
