Frank Ocean - Endless
92

Although many will claim that the primary purposes of "Endless" were for Frank Ocean to free himself of the Def Jam record label, and to act as a teaser to his 2016 masterpiece "Blonde", the album really is an art form in its own right. By far the most overlooked and underappreciated Frank Ocean project, the visual album "Endless" was a particularly important step for Frank in his growth as an artist. It's just one brilliant cut after another on this classic LP. Simply beautiful music.

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS

Bold, abrasive and oftentimes psychedelic, Kanye West and Kid Cudi's collaborative LP "KIDS SEE GHOSTS" provides a concise and purposeful dose of music through 7 punchy tracks, which value quality over quantity.

The ultimate 90s rock record.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
96

Kendrick Lamar's 2015 album "To Pimp a Butterfly" is his (and maybe even all of hip-hop's) magnum opus. There is nothing I can really say about this album that hasn't been said already - it is truly a masterpiece and embodies everything a rap album should be, laying down an impossible benchmark for generations of artists to come. This is lyrical and musical genius at its finest.
