I really thought FJM is just an ordinary, boring, classical singer-songwriter. BOY, was I wrong. This is fantastic, the instrumentation is so varied and so adventurous, and I'm just having so much fun in an eight-minute track that time passes as if it were merely 3 minutes long. I really like this.
Good shit. All of this album is so relaxed, if feels perfect for a lazy sunday evening in june. But it's November, I have the cold, and this album is still pretty good.
Genuinely so beautiful (I hate the word genuinely I never spell it correctly on the first try)
I'm... not quite sure what I just listened to, but I did enjoy it! A nice introduction to the overwhelming experimental outfit that is Xiu Xiu.
Pure pop bliss. Every note is perfectly set, the production is simply immaculate. I am at a loss for words. I've been listening to this non-stop for two weeks and I hope that I will not get sick of it soon. Strong AOTY contender.
Edit: you know what? 10/10 fuck it
Electronica fans are eating good this year. I can't really say anything about this album beyond the fact that I felt incredibly ethereal listening to this, like I was flying.
Favourite songs: Cheerleader, Russian Roulette, Perfect Pinterest Garden, Is There Really No Happiness?
Favourite lyrics; The whole third verse on Russian Roulette, but especially "I want to live, I don't want to die", also "she draws me kissing other guys" from Cheerleader because lol
Los Bitchos do los Bitchos things and make a very nice indie-rock instrumental album. I remember shaking my ass to some of these songs in a small changing room while trying on new pairs of trousers.
Favourite songs: Don't Change, Kiki, You Complete Me, La Bomba,
Old review: After listening to GUTS in full, I put myself in front of this one. She's really damn creative and most importantly, honest, and honest teen girls sell records like hot buns.
New review: Oliva Rodrigo's debut is a very well crafted record about heartbreak and also being young. Most of the songs are about her ex Joshua Basset, except the first and last, and despite the songs mostly having very minimal instrumentation, her performance makes up for it. Coming from the Disney ... read more
This is a very fun, little, if not very memorable slice of indie-rock. Some great moments on the second and last track, but the rest is a bit forgettable
Sabrina Carpenter is both very funny and very horny (one of those things we have in common), and this record shows both of these traits in spades. What lacks in creativity of the music she makes up in lyrical prowess, being over-the-top open and honest about her sexuality and sex life (that one line in the bridge of Coincidence and most of Bed Chem especially, like she's so funny). The production is very good too, which just shows that Jack Antonoff is not a bad producer, just not always a ... read more
I feel like I should like beabadoobee way more than I do, I mean, really spacey and hazy guitars, echoey reverb on everything, all that dreampop shit is right up my alley! But her music never transcended beyond "this sounds nice" for me personally, not on the Fake it Flowers and not on this one, with the sole exception being She Plays Bass, because, yknow, that song is literally about me. Maybe Beatopia works idk. Still a pleasant enough of a listen, Take a Bite is really good.
That FROOT sounds really good!
Shout-out to my friend that recommended me this album, they are one of the coolest people ever.
I was aware of the existence of Marina and her Diamonds for a while now, being not really interested in exploring further, until I had a few convincing arguments (and beers) and decided to listen to this album someday (someday being today). This album has no right to be this underrated, Marina is a very confident performer and her vocal range is incredible. The songs ... read more

Good vibes, but Future Nostalgia has higher highs
Reviewing every album from my favourite band:
This is fun as hell. DIY-Garage-punky songs and ideas. You can basically feel their potential and how much fun they must've had during the recordings. The only thing not quite in place in their debut is their utterly weird and amazing uniqueness, but that will be fixed sonn enough.

This was my first venture intoo Vampire Weekends discography, and I gotta say, this was quite good! Loved the almost breakcore-esque drum breakdowns that were sprinkled in there. The fuzzy guitars are also a highlight, but they know when to get somber as well. Need to listen again though.
Reviewing every album of my favourite band
This is the very first metal album I've heard and it might be one of the finest. The story, the guitar, the bass and the fucking drums, my lord, all work together to make a coherent thrashy headbanger of an experience.
This is wonderful. The bass, the "I remember", the screaming, the mellow outro, everything. We are truly back.
