Album Binge of 2023! In which I try to binge-listen to all of the records of this year that I wanted to listen to but put off for some reason, with varying degress of success.
This one is amazing. I forgot pop could sound this amazing, unique and catchy at the same time.
The most heart-breaking thing about this EP is the potential this kid had. And I call him this kid, but he's barely older than me. He could've been a huge indie-talent. Fuck, man. Please get help if you have any bad thoughts, even if it's just calling a friend, it's never too late.

Jessie Ware has no business being this good at writing catchy music.
Somehow I always rate albums before I click with them, what's up with that.
This shit is great, it's emotional, it's loud and quiet in the right places and Wills' angsty, sarcastic yet oddly charming lyricism has never been better. Amazing.
Favourite songs: Vincent, Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales, The Ballad Of The Costa Concordia
Ohhhh uhhhh ahhhhh pretty sounds
Another album I initially underrated massively. This might be my AOTY. This has been my first exposure to yeule and I'm excited to see what they will do in the future. I can't think of another album that combines this many genres in one so masterfully (but I'm also new to this /mu/-core thing so I might just be inexperienced lol). Hella good record.
This sounds like shit oml
Edit: When I wrote this I only listened to a few songs, but now I listened to the whole thing and it's... different, but also better but also worse than FtF? They are both respective masterpieces, and I don't even care if it sounds like it was made on Windows XP
Well, they certainly aren't boring.
The first contact other than hearing them in TikTok soundbites or ads was Mic The Snare's DDD on them, and if you know him, you know that Mic never says he hates an album, he only says "this isn't for me" and then states why. My second exposure was Brad Taste, so I am a little conflicted in my opinion. On one hand, they seem like really nice dudes who are just throwing some really sticky stuff to a wall and make songs out of everything that sticks, ... read more
PinkPantheress is proving that TikTok One-Hit-Wonders can actually be quite talented!
Yeah, it's good, but that's because the og album was also good. I really like the revisted vocals, but some production decisions are not really for me. But still, good on Taylor for being consistent.
Good ass album. I need to listen through most of the extended mixes still but this is a solid outing from my favourite band. Certainly very memorable.
Edit: I can't believe I'm saying this but this one shrunk on me. I still command them for the cool experiment, and it will still slay live but this just ain't for me, even if it's still a solid effort.
