To be honest, I also wouldn't know how to follow up one of the most popular and grandious albums of all time. TFF did what they needed to do and it works. Its a surprisingly fresh album for the late 80's. Very happy they tipped their toes in other flavors of pop instead of sticking with the synth-pop that lauched their career.

This is an album that makes you work for it. you have to repeat multiple songs to really understand them; all the songs have a meaning deeper to what meets the ear. And i will say, i enjoyed the transition between songs more than i did on DSOTM, kendrick surprisingly doesnt make flow between songs sound awkward.
rating it 100 for the experience. me and my bf had the best time watching this in theaters. every single penny was worth it
listened to this WAYYYY back and 2022, and my god its still just as good!! ALSO, who knew this album would get me into marxism lol
