Logic - Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever

THE. PEAK. OF. LOGIC.

no misses here for me, this project could be replayed over and over and over and i wouldn't get bored at all.

so much i could say about this one man, first off, the production has elevated once more, literally every beat is a earworm banger times ten. 925, walk on by, nasty, and ballin come to mind there. second, logic sounds so hyped bro, like he finally got what he wanted (fame, status) and is just doing this huge victory lap.

but logic stays humble, tracks ... read more

ys2 sees logic improving on all fronts from its predecessor, people say this is his best project and for good reason. so many bangers like set the tone, dead presidents III, used to hate it, and more. No actually Used it to hate it top ten logic ONG. that beat should be in a museum.

It all peak, though i find the 4 song stretch from 500 days of summer to aye girl to be a slog. 4 love songs in a row is so dumb, though logic on the do ya like beat is pretty dope.

but that finale mannnnn young ... read more

ys1 is the start of one of THE BEST mixtape runs from an artist period. logic really cooked here, jumping from yb&i to this is just INSANE.

The start man... One, Shine On, 30,000, and All I Do is some of logics best work and that's BACK TO BACK. we got the frank sample on the intro which just works, and even more sample production on these and most of the tracks on here, some may say that's lazy but i think it works given logics inspirations at the time.

county building blues is a very obscure track, which sucks , because its really good. probably the weakest deluxe track though.

i love black hippy and love swimming pools, but the remix isn't as good as the original, still a great posse cut.

anytime black hippy come together, you get bangers, and they remix one of the best beats every produced? cmonnnnn.

jay z on bitch don't kill my vibe is a great fit, i love Kendrick doing a new verse as well, that seems to be a lost art of remixes.

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Edition)

one of the best deluxe albums ever. insane 3 track run.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

fantastic. this is a peak album and its only issue is being next to tpab and gkmc.

FEAR. specifically is one of the best songs in his discog. alchemist can never miss.

my fav Kendrick project. so many great tracks here, i love Kendrick's flow on many of these as well, AND THE BEATS BRO.
besides two duds, this track list is flawless. such a chill album. I'm not blind to the fact this is probably his weakest album when up against gkmc, tpab, etc but this is the one i come back to the most.

smth about old logic is just sooooo good. relatable lyrics, great performances, the beats can be dated but this tape is 15 years old so i can look past it. there's def some mid on here, especially in the middle, but when it hits it hits man. nothing but a hero, young Sinatra, growing pains, ask em, and wordplay where logic legit raps over billie jean....yeah idc thats gas.

2010-2015 logic was truly his peakest form. this was just the start.

q's best project commercially, and honestly could be argued that it IS his best in his discog. this album came out around that time the blog era of rap was still going, and even though it would soon end, this track list just screams that era to me. we got bj, we got early tyler, we got 2 chainz and 2 members of black hippy here. also, kurupt and raekwon are a nice addition, seems like q was honoring the old school rap that inspired him.

just banger after banger man, but it isn't all ... read more

not horrible, but very mediocre. after two great projects we get logic turning political and more "socially aware" and while its def commendable, its also not the logic i feel is his peakiest form.

a lot of the messages on this album (love one another, peace, don't be ashamed to be black/ yourself., mental health matters, etc) are great, but when u say them over and over without nothing to add except (here's the message.) it gets stale very quickly.

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. not all trash though, the intro and outro is honestly great and out of sight is hella underrated. cordae also washed every other ft here (even logic himself tbh.)

just a super disappointing album from him, glad he locked in though.
