I've played this song dozens of times by now, and i cant tell you why. Maybe its the beat, maybe i like ash's voice, maybe its just how vibey and chill the track is, regardless this is my favorite blorg track so far.
for one of my favorite shows, i was hoping for a bit more. this one is hella boring, the rapping is fine but the beat is forgettable.
I say with the most serious tone ever that this is one of the best singles of the 2010s. Iconic beat and sample flip, and every feature crushes it.
I only know Mr. Siffre from his popular tracks and some samples used here and there on other records, but I still checked this out cuz he's dropping an album later this year.
Track slaps, he sounds much older (obviously since he's 80) but i think he uses his voice to his advantage, it doesn't sound like he's trying to strain it or anything like that. The production is moody, with a piano at the forefront, which I like. simple but he didn't need much for this type of ... read more
helped me through so much in my life, and will continue to do so. if you need a hand, and don't know where to turn, listen to solace, and somehow, someway, it'll feel like earl gets it.
hella mid, like all these tracks are fine but besides 44 bars and wrist i don't revisit these that much.
"Achieved a lot in life, but what's a lot with more to gain?
At least I don't drink to avoid the hurt, we call that champagne"
he feel like who??? jk this slaps we need more clams and earl collabs
one of kendricks best songs but yall aint ready for that convo
after the reception of everybody, logic thought that returning to his roots would be the best option, and he was mostly right. This is less a direct continuation of the ys tapes and more of a reimaging. Think when a remake of a video game drops, like yea we got similar characters, themes , maybe even story beats, but somethings just off, you know?
of course, this project would be different regardless if he dropped it back then or today, young Sinatra logic can never be replicated, logic was ... read more
Tyler said it best, though i still like some tracks on here.
just listen to bastard if you want this Tyler sound.
"They want us to go to they schools and
Be fucking miserable at they fucking college, studying that bullshit
Fuck that
Do what the fuck makes you happy
'Cause at the end
Who's there? You"
my favorite Tyler project, everything bad about bastard and goblin has been (mostly) lost and we are left with a semi more mature Tyler over wayyyy better production. the features here are fantastic as well, shout out domo on rusty, actually shout out that whole track man def one of Tyler's best.
yeah the second half is a little weaker than the first, yeah we still got some problematic bars, but i don't really mind that.
all in all, this is the best of "old Tyler" and the ... read more
objectively Tyler's best project, but not my favorite by a wide margin.
its like when you eat a bomb ass steak and your like "yeah this gas" but some days i just wanna eat a burger.
"What do you need? Do you need bread?
Do you need this? Do you need a hug?
Do you need to be alone?
I could wrap this up and get the fuck away instead
What is your wish? It can be granted
You're number one, one on my list
See, I am Santa, where is Rudolph?
You're parasitic, I do not ... read more
Most peoples (including mine) introduction to westside gunn andddddd its peak. peak production, peak features, honestly this and hwh 8 side b are tied for my favorite gunn project.
and i know what most people will be thinking coming into this, if you have heard a gunn project previously, its nothing new, jazz boom bap, some drumless jazz, bars about rich shit and BOOOOOBOBOBOB GRRRRRRRRRRRR but, like i said, this was most peoples FIRST taste of that, and maaaaaan its tasty
one complaint ... read more
