I've officially hit 1000 ratings on here, so that feels pretty good. I found out about AOTY from BradTaste just like a lot of other people on here. This site has basically been part of my daily routine since mid-2019.
For my 1000th rating, I wanted to choose an album that was really high up on my backlog. I tend to put off a lot of albums I'm almost positive I'll love. Maybe I'm afraid of the small chance of disappointment, idk. But as expected, I got into my head a bit too much and I loved ... read more
They really went and made a decent song just to put it as an alternate version.
YOU GUYS COULD BE ALRIGHT IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO BUT NOOOOOOO
It's not often that I can say "the new imagine dragons single ain't bad", although I may throw up after saying it.
Excellent hard rock album. It sounds like a mix of Led Zeppelin, The White Stripes and Black Sabbath.
Rating: 80
This is making me rethink my lower rating on the album. She blew it out of the park on every song. The instruments could have been mixed better though.

I'm glad to see at least some of his old mixtape stuff come to streaming services finally. Sad to see that he didn't include Mind Of Logic on here. It's easily one of my favorites.
I mean, anything is an improvement over the last single. I'm not very into what he's done to his voice. It's tough to pinpoint exactly what it is but he just sounds extra annoying and whiny in these new singles. Almost as if he were parodying himself.
Instrumentally, the songs are all memorable and different enough but lyrically, every single song is practically the same. Reminds me of how Taylor Swift's songs used to be.
Standout tracks: "deja vu", "jealousy, jealousy", "brutal"
Normally I'm kind of a Hobo Johnson defender but I just can't with this one.
I've loved all of their albums but this might end up being the weakest of them. Nothing is grabbing my attention.
A remaster of the original mix was recently put onto streaming services so I'm not sure if that helped out my score but DAMN THIS IS GOOD. IT'S NOT A PHASE MOM.
Edit: Relistening on my RSD vinyl release. Sounds fantastic still. THESE FUCKING DRUMS MAN.
Edit again: It is so unbelievable that Sonny was only 16 when he did this.
