idk to me it seems like a pretty agreeable 75 but apparently to critics this is liquid gold and to drake fans the worst album ever conceived since.
its not flawless but its not horrific, its an enjoyable album safe to play and to me its pretty inoffensive
would be considerably better if there wasn’t such a weird use of auto tune. I understand that the strokes have always experimented with vocals and used heavy auto tune in the past but the instrumental to the song does not fit the auto tune at - works perfectly with instant crush just not this

for a shamefully long time I used to think that this album was overrated, I wasn’t a fan of it and I don’t know why. this album is amazing from its druggy soundscape to its lyrical depth on songs like apple pie and 90210. some songs just send you to another world with its cinematic psychedelic sounds like impossible. all the songs have electric hooks like 3500 and maria I’m drunk but still provide more substance than just the hook.
