I'm starting to get it. In this originally dreary piece I've found something somewhat beautiful.

The idyllic woods. Does it call to you too?

This album has the desperation I look for in contemporary indie. The whiny falsetto that buries you in a nostalgic angst. The production is whimsical to a point of questioning. The pinnacle of post punk and a hazy perfection. Bewitching one might say.

There is a time in the lives of all when ignorance is recognized. A simple misjudgment, an eye opening experience, maybe the stream of adolescence just takes you on its course. Godspeed You Black Emperor! has given me this recognition and for that I will forever hold their music dear.
