the first song, regyptian strut, and the last song are so good and catchy. that last song has some amazing guitar work and instrumental work in general. very good album.
edit: the ocean is the ultimate solution has the greatest guitar solo in all of music and nothing can change my mind.

this is a very harrowing but beautiful album. the tragedy that is in this album is extremely apparent once you get the entire backstory on this. john's vocals take on a whole new meaning when you learn that he passed before the album was released and his lover compiled his old demos and recording and compiled them all into this album. those first three songs (especially the second song) are so amazing and the other stuff can sound absolutely horrifying like it's in my blood. this is genuinely great. the jazz elements of this album like the flutes and pianos are really good sounding. the vocals kinda sound weird but after 3 songs I got used to it. the highlights on this album for me were tegucigalpa, wileness slim, ancient souls, hatful of rain, and bottom deck dwellers. the flenser again has a great album under its belt. rating might get higher the more times I listen to it.
this album was extremely bizarre and all over the place especially in the 25 minute track. those lyrics were so weird. it also hurt my feelings when I got told to kms in that song :((((

great and charming songs that are extremely catchy. these songs show a lot of personality and even a bit of emotion with seany boy and giants. I really like this!
amazing atmosphere and emotion through the entire 35 minute song. 10/10 all the way. hell yeah!

holy moly guacamole. this might be one of the albums of the year. so many amazing and interesting moments on this album. especially on don't put anything on the bible. I might relisten to some of the songs here from time to time. 10/10!
dark and oppressive sounding songs that sound amazing for most of it being recorded on a laptop. loved it.
catchy and memorable songs. age of consent and your silent face are massive highlights.
some of the parts in this album sound like a classical piece if it was weird rock. I liked this.
