The production techniques are more tolerable and interesting than 1 however this album doesn't truly shine until the second half. If given more time and more memorable songs this would have prefer this project over 1.

Looking back at this album, it's ridiculous how much I've changed on my opinion. Going through Car Seat Headrests discography and returning to their older music can really reveal what they were going for on this project and made me a lot more intrigued.
Will used this ... read more

The B-Sides to one of my favourite music projects. There are a lot more bangers than I would have expected and I am blown away from the emotional potency and creativity.

Not particularly what I expected to see. Feels much more like a bundle of ideas than anything concrete. Although these songs are short they feel drawn out.
I'm happy to say that there are highlights here from the glimpses of a larger soundscape on certain tracks across the album. The beat switch on Haunt Me was cool. r u gonna love me? had unexpectedly intoxicating production which felt weirdly a cut above most of the tracks. The Lecx Stacy feature added a cool transition in genre for the song ... read more
The soundscape is incredibly consistent, the themes are broad but somehow strangely connected comparative to each song. Each song is surprisingly addicting and includes one of the best closers to an album.
It's not great but not the worst.
A surprisingly consistent house project with some genuinely interesting sounds being explored by Drake. There are certain Drake elements which I would have preferred to be far away from this album from the plain flow from Texts Go Green and Liability, and the plain dumb samples including that bed squeak sound on Currents. However, I see a major improvement in Drakes confidence to actually try more interesting and powerful vocals effects on tracks such as ... read more
Absolutely incredible collaboration. One of the best Lo-Fi EP's of this year.
The "make your own album" strategy is extremely fun to play around with. Both the original and deluxe versions of Donda with no changes is very lengthy and unorganized.
