after seeing the general conscious of this album, i was actually dreading listening to it. however, i was pleasantly surprised by about half of the tracklist. a lot of just great pop tracks mixed with some mediocre pop tracks. this album wasn't really consistent, which was my biggest issue. but overall, fun to listen to and not take seriously.
instant serotonin across 10 tracks that flow nicely and really capture jessie ware's unique charisma. this is for sure a great follow up to "what's your pleasure?".
a beautiful collection of brilliant songwriting and gorgeous harmonies, this trio has done it again!
Did you know that there hasn't been a good Lana Del Rey album since Norman Fucking Rockwell? Oh, and there's also a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.
if you wanted to encapsulate 80s pop into an album; i'm sure madonnas self-titled record is a good contender! slick pop hooks and synths infect whatever listener happens upon this album and half of these songs will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, week, month, year, or even eternity. this is truly such an amazing start to what we now know to be one of, if not the most iconic music career of all time. this clearly is just the start to a pop legend emerging onto the scene.
