I had actually never really listened to a Van Halen album, of course I know songs like Jump and Panama but idk, the band never really interested me. Until I created an account on AOTY and liked some albums I enjoy and looked at what the site was recommending to me, and this was one of them. Richie Sambora is the guitarist and back vocalist of Bon Jovi, and I absolutely love him in that band and I'm so sad that he's not anymore, this man is really really underrated. I already knew 5 songs on this album and some of his other solo songs, but never listened to it front to back. And it did not disappoint, this man can absolutely carry an entire album on his own. I already knew 8/12 songs on this album but never really listened to it front to back, and because I'm seeing this band live in a few months, I thought it might be fun to give this one a review front to back.

And it's good, but it doesn't come near the peaks of Slippery When Wet and New Jersey for me. It's good, but not as impressive anymore, it doesn't have the insane vocals anymore, it doesn't have those iconic anthems anymore. It's just missing something, ... read more

I'm always very conflicted on this album, because I do enjoy listening to it and I really like most of the songs on it, but on the other hand it's just not a very good Twenty One Pilots album.
