Black flag is a weird band, the early stuff is pretty normal and straighforward hardcore, which I really like. The more experimental albums like family man, the process of weeding out and the second half of my war are not better or worse per say, but I appreciate and respect it a lot because they were weird and basically pushing musical boundaries at the time. Why didn't I listen to this before, this is so good. The first time I listened to this album, which is today, I only knew the biggest 3 songs (Smack my bitch up, Firestarter and Breathe). But for some reason, I thought the rest was gonna suck. I was wrong.
The sampling on these songs are so well played and the beats go very hard. I also love that they don't care what genre it is and just play what they want. I mean, it's mostly electronic, yes, but they rap in a few songs and on the last song ... read more

Incredibly fun listen, not too experimental, it was enjoyable. Even the weird sounds the singer makes in songs like Leyendecker or Tij aren't annoying or something.
Also, bonus for Atlas being in my favourite childhood game LittleBigPlanet.

Why do I love the drumming sound so much?
I just love these fast paced songs. But the slower songs are also really good and very catchy.
My favourite songs: "Move To Bremerton" (love the vocals at the end), "Do Your feet hurt", "Middlename".
