Quadeca - SCRAPYARD I
82

I’m digging this new Quadonka era ๐Ÿ˜Œ

underscores - Wallsocket
79

Super solid stuff. Songwriting could definitely be improved on, but as is I’m really into this hyper-pop, rock formula with an emo tinge

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
97

moonchild was just a bit long!

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
95

The instrumentation is just outstanding on here. Every riff, every drum hit, every vocal is just perfect in the mix. My only complaint is that the track Don’t Stop could have been easily replaceable, oherwise this musical formula is just a recipe for some outstanding pop tracks

Edit: 92-95
With time this record only gets better. I don’t know what it is the tracklist is so incredibly diverse sonically but everything is seamless and deserves its place. Man, what a marvel in ... read more

nishith & Quedronol - poison ivy (nothing to me)

If Hivemind streams will put me onto music like this I think I’ll have to tune in to each and every one of them

This song just made me fall in love with music again. And the kid is only SIXTEEN!! Unreal

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
94

Just completely intoxicating from start to finish.

A 47-minute long dreamscape, with a rich atmosphere and a beautiful story

96

What can I say about this album, about this band that hasn’t been said, quite literally a billion times before???

Every song deserves its spot on this record. There isn’t a moment where the tracklist loses me in any sort of way. This is just quintessential grunge, and without a doubt (along with their swan song ‘In Utero’), one of the best rock albums of the 90’s, and of all time

Addison Rae - AR
35

This is my rating including obsessed. If it wasn’t on the tracklist I’d give it a light 4

Not much interesting going on in this 9 minute ep. Addison Rae is just biting off her contemporaries who are doing this style so much more justice. This just sounds like Charli XCX if her music was written with significantly less effort, it blows my mind that she has a feature on this thing

The production is mostly bland, and AR doesn’t offer much in terms of vocals and lyrical content. ... read more

Milton Nascimento - Clube da Esquina
98

NAAAAAAAH CUZ WTF

bruh I haven’t even heard the whole thing yet, this is just the base score. It could only go up from here

I’ve never done this before. Also I don’t understand one word of Portuguese. These guys are UNREAL

beabadoobee - Glue Song
91

Almost a perfect track in my eyes, I just think it could’ve benefited with a triumphant last verse

Andy Hunter - Exodus
NR

The song Go on this album GOESSSSS

Have yet to listen to the whole project yet but definitely will at some point. If it’s anything like its intro track, it must be heavily slept on

Travis Scott - UTOPIA
72

Haven’t finished the record yet but so far it’s actually better than I expected.

All I have to say though for now is what did he do to lost forever ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ this album version blows

Edit on 7/31 - this is a solid entry into Travis Scott’s discography. There were definitely more moments that blew me away rather than took me out of the experience. Rodeo is no question still his best output, but I’ll have to relisten to Astroworld to see where that album lies in his ... read more

City Morgue - CITY MORGUE VOL 1: HELL OR HIGH WATER
41

I had a whole long ahh review written out for this thing and it got miraculously deleted by the AOTY gods, so I’ll write that review in a nutshell right here:

I like the beats. I don’t like Zilla and SosMula’s voices. I see potential for growth with tracks like 33rd blakk glass and I understand why people like this project, but at the end of the day I just don’t think I’m the target audience. I’d just rather listen to playboi carti or some yeat songs over ... read more

Swans - To Be Kind
98

I’m just gonna leave this here. I have my own personal reasons why I don’t feel like this is up to the level where my tens are at, but that doesn’t discredit how unrelenting and unforgiving the songs on this album are

This is a record that only happens once in a lifetime. I can’t even begin to describe the genius of this album. This music is mentally taxing, but in like the best way imaginable. Michael Gira is a madman mastermind

The Smiths - Meat Is Murder
86

A couple of misses, sure, but man some of my fav Smiths songs are on this record!

Morrissey is definitely a knobhead but this band had one of the most insane decade runs I have ever seen

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future (The Extended Edition)
89

Definitely amplifies what was already a great hip-hop album. Denzel Curry showcases again and again why he is one of the most exciting acts in hip-hop at the moment with seemingly endless innovation and creativity

Favs on here are Walkin’, X-Wing, Chrome Hearts, and Angelz

Caroline Polachek - Pang
77

Really solid album. Love how the beats amplify Caroline’s vocal ability. My only complaints are that some of the melodies just weren’t hitting me as hard and it got a little repetitive at points

Looking forward to giving her new record a listen at some point

Prince and The Revolution - Purple Rain
100

Lmao ong they didn’t have to snap this hard

This is like the closest music will ever get to actual fornication

Blood Orange - Negro Swan
82

Smooth as butter. Chill vibes, sticky synths, and groovy basslines are all over this thing. Shout out to my friend for putting me onto this record. Good stuff!!

Radiohead - Kid A
100

It has to be unreal that a band could possibly be this good. Isn’t it?
