🔴 Stars, Falling
🟢 The other 2 tracks
Nice, chill, short, sweet project that closes out P46’s tenure on the label well.
Favorite: Summer
Least Favorite: Stars
A solid meldub project that has some nice variety. Although it often falls within the tropes staled by other artists in the genre, it still comes out a good project in its own right.
Favorite: Both of Us
Least Favorite: Through The Dark
This guy is awesome. And this project is proof of what a great sound designer he is. It’s just that this kind of project is so not what I come to music for.
Favorite: Twin Voids
Least Favorite: Termite Queen
JJW’s debut EP doesn’t make near the impression that his future projects do, but it’s a nice taste of his early future bass style. It’s a nostalgic sound listening back to it now, but back then it was well within the quality of the time this slow-LFO future bass was popular. Good work, and it only gets better from here.
Favorite: Be Free
Least Favorite: Close
Although it doesn’t reach the high of the first EP in the trilogy or end with much of a bang, it consistently delivers some of the most solid production of the series, even delving into heavier territories. Not the craziest end to the trilogy, but it does the job quite well.
Favorite: The Wounds I (Keep)
Least Favorite: Farfromu
Starting a bit slow, it eventually picks up into a solid second entry in the Wounds trilogy. The mixing is a little weaker, but only because it’s moving into grander compositional territory than its predecessor. Some good lyrical thoughts in this project as well, especially in “Yes to You”.
Favorite: Breathe in Slowly
Least Favorite: On Purpose
Although this 75 is heavily carried by the gorgeous, heartbreaking title track, the rest of the EP is some solid future bass that is quite emblematic of his simpler early styles. A really good kickoff to the Wounds trilogy.
Favorite: The Wounds We (Want)
Least Favorite: Moving On
Spectacular journey that celebrates not only finishing unfinished music projects but also healing from the grief of wasted time. It brings a fresh take to all kinds of EDM and pop genres, including ones that have staled significantly over the years. And dang does it pack a punch, both sonically and emotionally.
Favorite: For a While
Least Favorite: Context
Absolutely gorgeous album that gives a palpable sense of closure to the trilogy JJW built over the past year. Although within itself, the tracklist feels the least narratively cohesive of the three, it has an undeniably poignant place in the larger whole of the trilogy. Everything that made the previous two albums great, JJW delivers on here in spectacular fashion, from the rich sonic textures to the cathartic lyricism. Yet another career standout for JJW; this guy just cannot lose.

Dazzling album that strikes the balance between Fractal’s heavier and chiller styles while still maintaining a coherent vibe across tracks. Everything, from the talented features to the musical flourishes to the meditative moments, came together for this album. Fractal’s best project for good reason.
Favorite: Collide, Fire Away
Least Favorite: Escape
Despite some confusing progression, this album delivers on several bangers and feelers—making good use of its talented features and TTC’s various styles. A worthy send-off before a hiatus from Monstercat.
Favorite: Queen of Your Heart
Least Favorite: Oracle
Yeah...I'm *really* not this guy's target audience.

🔴 Fire & Forget, Sh*t’s On F*re, What U Got
🟢 The other 9 tracks
An alright follow-up to Stealing Fire that doesn’t have any of its charm but at least delivers on some banger moments—especially locking in on those last three tracks. It’s not that VR could’ve done *more*, more that he could’ve done *better*. But still, good enough to tide us over until the next project.
