We have reached a point in humanity where the tides are changing and either two of things will occur - the fall of the capitalist regimes across the globe or the downfall of humanity itself. We have fought imperialist wars for decades in the hope of dividing the spoils among other similar-minded nations. A great question comes upon us: Are we to do anything and watch the downfall of humanity and allow our nations to continue killing women and children in the great dream of exploiting workers ... read more
You know what, we’re having a terrible start to 2026, so this is something nice to help out the transition into the new year. We have some bullshit going on like Greenland, ICE, global tensions on the rise, Venezuela, but whatever - we got Rocky. Shit has been edged for like, what? 2–3 years now? Haha, it’s a good album though. Was it worth the year-on-year-long wait? I’m not too sure yet, give it some time.
Some batshit insane production on these tracks; we had shit ... read more
Another album that, once again, changed my view on music. As long as you're honest in your music, who can say that you should've never put it out there? Music can sound any way you want it to and still reach somebody - not to say this album sounds bad, but to make a point out of the fact that not everybody will find appeal in the lo-fi quality of this album. Elliot Smith, a tortured soul, bleeds his heart out on the page, writing in his own blood. He has a knack for it, and it's ... read more
I like to imagine myself sitting in a chair with my back turned to the wall while Cameron plays away on the piano. It feels too personal, It sounds like I shouldn't be listening, but I indulge. When I turn this album on, I feel like I'm listening to the inner ramblings of Cameron's mind, throwing references left and right that he'd only get - but, in its own way, makes it inviting to attach your own memories and feelings to the project. We unite in shared pain, even if ... read more
Yeah, I like boys kissing boys - and I also like this album. Dipping my toes into the pool of midwest emo, I got my feet wet once I jumped into this. There's a certain itch that I've wanted to be scratched ever since I started listening to midwest emo, and this-insanely-long-album-name-that-I-won't-type-out scratched it pretty damn well. It was pretty hard to get used to Tim's voice for a bit, but I quickly adjusted. So much energy, so much fun, I'm excited to see what ... read more
Though TGPTs mixing is objectively considered terrible to most people, I think that's part of the charm. It reproduces the feeling of being hopeless so well that it's a pretty hard album to return to a majority of the time. While it's easier to listen to as a whole rather than pick out individual songs to keep in rotation, a few standout tracks include: "God Bless My Homegirls", "Behold! A Pale Horse", and "Ballad of a Poor Man" (also want to mention ... read more
It was a bit hard to get used to the mixing at first, but it's worth working through. I'd need some time in order to call it a "perfect" album or anything, but I'm really enjoying the batch of songs that stuck out to me for now. Revolver, often being overshadowed by Abbey Road, really is a musical marvel. Even though this album feels more like a collection of singles rather than an album that ebbs and flows together, each song is so good that it makes up for that. Maybe ... read more
Hopefully people pick up on Pat more, a seriously underrated artist with a lot of potential. Found him through his Instagram material and came to check out his uploaded music - pretty incredible for how many songs it is. It's pretty hard to captivate me for 45 songs, but he did it, somehow. Consisting of lo-fi folk music, I can't help but make comparisons to The Microphones' works. Tracks like "Sea of Bleach", "Someone She Deserves", and ... read more
it's so funny to scroll through tom macdonald's profile and genuinely notice that EVERY album is rated below a 5
sputnikmusic might have one of the dumbest reviews of all fucking time
also, one of the most goonable albums of 2025, danny is collecting trans producers like pokemon
man i'm sitting over here sipping on my matcha! im slapping my belly listening to laufey sipping on that matcha!! i can't believe my life! it's all smiles!! man i'm just such a performative guy!!
can't believe the bay harbor rapper finally dropped another album
best description i can give of this album is srs if it was happier. the production style is very similar to srs and the flows are pretty similar as well, the subject matter is just different. also add on to the fact that he literally looks like unc now; earl is growing and evolving and this is a good way to look back at what once was.
(p.s., once i listen to it more i'll add on)
DON'T TAP THE FUCKING GLASS
This album is an album to MOVE TO - this is your summer bump; this is your mosh pit music; this is the music to just move your ass to - RULE NUMBER ONE: BODY MOVEMENT. NO SITTING STILL. It might have a deeper meaning to it, and it probably does, but remember that music is supposed to be enjoyable, so move your ass to this.
With an album as vulnerable as CHROMAKOPIA, this album is absolute whiplash. "Leave your baggage at home", forget about your ... read more
WHAT YOU GOT ON TALKING TOM AND ANGELA?? NOTHING!! YOU GOT FUCKING NOTHING ON THEM!!!
The king of edging and the king of having a fat ass on the "Vultures 1" album cover are back after a little hiatus. After dropping "Vultures 1," a collaborative project between Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign dropped back in February, I didn't have very high hopes for what "Vultures 2" would sound like. But after the duo edged their audience for quite a while, "Vultures 2" finally dropped and, just like "Vultures 1," will mainly appeal to ... read more
JPEG "Been Making Grown Men Cry Since 2008" Mafia is back after dropping his collaborative LP "Scaring the Hoes" with Danny Brown last year, which was highly praised by all chronically online music lovers alike. On this new project "I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU" (abbreviated as ILDMLFY), Peggy collaborates with multiple renowned producers such as Kenny Beats, Flume, and DJ RaMeMes. "ILDMLFY" is an absolute conglomeration of all Peggy projects throughout his ... read more
Porter Robinson is able to achieve something so special on this album. Porter, a renowned musician known throughout the EDM scene and electronic music in general, put out Nurture on April 23, 2021, after 7 years of art block - also notably a time of great distraught among many people across the globe due to the COVID pandemic. He displays his vulnerability as much as you possibly publicly could, yet clouds his own vulnerability through a higher-pitched, more feminine voice. He creates a green, ... read more
>~< new porter!!! xD
After 3 years, Porter Robinson has finally dropped again- and this shit is beautiful, yet so existential. In just 40 minutes and 9 seconds, Porter's at his most intimate and vulnerable on this album- and it brought me to tears a few times. Porter struggles with the difficulties of aging being wrapped in nostalgia, while also exploring the intricacies of parasocial relationships.
Yeah yeah yeah, yada yada yada, you've probably heard that shit from everybody ... read more
At first, I wasn't feeling this track at all. I was really confused by it, considering the previous three singles that Porter had dropped before. But after a few listens, I can happily say that it's stuck in my head and that I love it. It was also interesting seeing him say that the song was partly inspired by WLR by Carti on his Instagram story. Excited about the album to coming out next week!
