Interesting stuff. Some nice EDM pop with cool lyricism and engaging melodies and catchy production. I like it. Want more of it.

I wasn't really feeling the first half of this EP, but Claire is definitely cooking up something nice for the B-side. I am intrigued over how she could pull off a full release cause there's definitely elements here that has my attention. She's definitely someone to add to my list of artists to look out for.

Interesting enough. Kinda ambient electro stuff. Not bad. Liked a spare track here and there, but nothing too impressive.

Cool! New members of Slipknot are here!

We got a short EP with three of them being fun lil bursts of energy, but the more careful ambient piece "3" was what got my attention. So while I only feel said track is worth the listen, the fact that the other three are only a minute each I'll just recommend you just play the whole thing. It's not even ten minutes so you're not wasting too much time.

We begin the finishing stretch of my lil side project with a nice Synthwave project from Wice. It may be doing nothing new, but the execution on a number of tracks that easily passes my qualifications to be added to my playlist. Just good ol casual synths to play for the late night drives.

We made it to the last letter of the alphabet! This album sounds just like its cover it's a dreamy futuristic sci fi yet it's also wacky AF. I guess that's Psychedelia for ya. It's a classic, modern, and a hundred years from now piece of music that's just endlessly fascinating! After listening to this I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when the world looks and sounds like this album. Good night!

I love me some Iglooghost ever since I fell in love with Neo Wax Bloom a couple years back. And this album gives me more of that wonky electro weirdness that I enjoy so much. And that's all I can ask of it. Good shit.

We got a nice mellow indie rock EP from Flipturn. If it was more memorable I would happily give them a generous score cause it is apparent that they are skilled and know what they are doing. I just couldn't find myself enjoying the music all that much. It's ok I guess.

I watch Faye Webster's set during Coachella on the YouTube stream ( they should save the replays of the live stream if not release full sets cause I would kill to rewatch some of my favorite concerts.) She may not have the greatest stage presence nor was the set anything mind-blowing. Still I found it really professional and endlessly charming. The band was super talented and she did a great job. I actually have listened to the closer before. It was a few years back so it's a surprise to hear it again after all this time. I also enjoyed "Run Run Blood". Two real solid electro pop tunes very memorable stuff if a bit cheesily dramatic. But hey 14 year old me ate this kind of shit up and the 24 year old now still really enjoys it so there's definitely an appeal to it. Who knows you may enjoy them as ... read more

We've got another DnB album here. The last one I tried didn't suit my taste but maybe this one will strike gold.

I don't know if I would personally call this DnB it's more IDM to me. Either way it does really matter, it's solid stuff regardless. And yeah it scratches the itch I was having for the genre.

Thanks for the recommendation @frogofprog

It's been a bit since I dived into a Prog Rock release from the golden era. And since some of my all time favorite albums are of this genre and era,and an account that's a big fan of it as well is personally recommending it, to say I am excited for this is an understatement. Two chunky tracks and an alien album cover to boot as well. I may in for a ride of a lifetime, let's ... read more

I'm both terrified and excited to see what this album has in store. Hopefully my head is still attached to my torso by the end of this experience.

First off AOS is absolutely WILD. I leave it up to interpretation on whether it is positive or negative but it's certainly something.

Didn't know what to expect from clicking on the eye catching cover but some satisfying sexy Jazz is a pleasant surprise. Me liking and even getting Jazz is a relatively recent development so I wasn't expecting to hear this genre in my random pickings from my endless saved albums etc. but here we are. So if you want some funk and some Satisfaction for your evening listenings I hope you add these gems to your list:

"@AidenBowe45 I am likely not the intended audience since I am a grown ass 26 year old listening to these lyrics. I may not be fully aware of what the kiddos are into these days, but when I was an edgy teenager in middle school, shit like this banged for the girlies."
On Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
"@OldTask This album is definitely geared towards the artsy fartsy folks that appreciate just how deep into the rabbit hole this experience takes them. Definitely takes an experienced or a very open ear to truly "get it." Not everyone does, but the ones that do praise this shit up and down like I do."
On Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
"@Moosky This album is fit for a very particular meditative mindset you have to be in for the Inherent strangeness to pack as hard of a punch as it does. Like many albums I love this is like a sonic drug trip that is more to be experienced than enjoyed as regular music. This album has a legendary status because it goes deep into this surreal experimental soundscape unapologetically and not everyone is going to get it, but those who do are immensely rewarded. I recommend you to maybe expand your horizons and listen to ambient/Psychedelic/ experimental releases similar to this so your pallet is more used to what this amazing album has to offer. Cont."

On David Bowie - Station to Station
"@Jakeisthedoctor Man I really should delete and reevaluate these albums I reviewed in my early days when my taste wasn't nearly as refined yet expansive as it is now. Back in 2023 I was throwing my inexperienced taste into classics head first with no idea what I was talking about. It's part of the reason why I am exploring the 60s and 70s again along with bolstering my limited playlists. To great success too with my 60s playlist going from 90 tracks to over 750 and growing as I am now appreciative of the greatness that I am consuming. I promise when I get to these albums again down the road, I will likely have a more reasonable take. For now, just enjoy how unhinged I was in 2023."
On Vapora - Oceanside Mall
"@frogofprog oh yeah, Vapora. I definitely had mixed feelings with this artist. They had some genuinely great vaporwave along with...well ones that missed the mark. Yeah I was a bit more loose with my reviews back in 2023 just experimenting with how I liked to present my reviews. It results in some reviews I am still proud of to some I just go crazy on. It is also an era where I was still forming my tastes on like twenty+ genres at once so don't take my early reviews that seriously."
On Drake - Scorpion
"@Triplo Thanks! I don't often have something to say about an album these days past a standard passing observation, but popular releases from the 2010s are a good way to get be talking at least a little bit."

On Not Marshall - FRIDAY NIGHT A DRESS2IMPRESS MODEL HAS TO SHOW OFF HER NEW AFRO HAIRSTYLE

On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw 👍 Whatever you say bud. I'll keep on doing what I do regardless of your berating."
On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw Good for them and the people that praise their writing. That's not the reason I fell in love with music so I don't focus on it. And that is just as fine as those who do the opposite and completely mute the music and gush over the writing. Different strokes, we all appreciate art in our own individual ways."
On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw Maybe I'll appreciate that part of the experience when I decide to give a shit about the lyrics. Until then, those pink floyd classics offer an amazing sonic experience regardless of whatever they are yapping about."
