I can see why people love Shoegaze, but in my limited experience of the genre so far, I have mostly found it pretty uninteresting.

Unpopular opinion but I have always enjoyed this album and think it's amongst the better releases that Slipknot have provided to this point. Is there some cheesiness, sure. Yeah I thought I was starting the appeal of Thrash Metal and Anthax's "Among the Living" was part of the group of albums in this genre that led to this thinking. Ok WOW did I really connect with the last half of this album. I just got SO sucked into the lyrics and the stories they are telling. Some decent glitchy ambient Stuff Didn't care much for the first half but came around well enough for the back half.
It's ok. Liked the indie mixed with synth pop parts of it. Mostly forgettable though.

Back in 2023 I was throwing my inexperienced taste into classics head first with no idea what I was talking about.
