Man when the atmosphere hits it HITS. The first three tracks are just fantastic to immerse yourself into. Unfortunately the rest of the album is a bit too dronie and kinda boring for me. If they were at least a bit more interesting to listen to I would have my score at least be 80 -85 with the first three tracks being like a 90. While I hoped to have this lift my spirits more than it did, it doesn't take away from the quality of the listen. Good stuff, just not enough for me to consider it great.
What a pleasant listen with some captivating lyrics. It may be slow paced but once you adapt to the pacing the experience becomes a lot more comfortable. Good album.
This album was a pretty boring listen imo. The only song that I liked was "Dazed Glaze" but not that much. I preferred their last album. It had a bit more life to it.
While a massive downfall from maggot head, I liked it just fine.
Highlights being:

Holy shit. What an album. Especially the opener. I'll never forget listening to maggot brain for the first time for the rest of my life. Just wow!!!
For some reason I didn't quite connect with "Why Don't You Eat Carrots?" But the other two songs are insane in the best way possible. This album is must hear if you enjoy experimental albums that aren't afraid to go to weird places.
The album just got better the further down the rabbit hole you ventured. So hold on tight cause the journey this one takes you is a wild one!

Back in 2023 I was throwing my inexperienced taste into classics head first with no idea what I was talking about. It's part of the reason why I am exploring the 60s and 70s again along with bolstering my limited playlists. To great success too with my 60s playlist going from 90 tracks to over 750 and growing as I am now appreciative of the greatness that I am consuming. I promise when I get to these albums again down the road, I will likely have a more reasonable take. For now, just enjoy how unhinged I was in 2023."
