Just realized I never rated this...
Very fun lyrics and beats, well produced as always, he has an unbelievable mind icl
BTS fans when they do something interesting, explore styles while also replicating their old sound
BTS had the same feel a lot of other kpop groups have where their songs feel overproduced and safe. With this album experimenting with some electropop it made it stand out and feel different unlike the safety of their recent songs.
The time BTS were sonically at their best was their older stuff, when they didn't follow the line of clean pop, that's not what these boys are good at. Only ... read more
This is genuinely an amazing pop project that I never expected to like. When it was first rolling out I remember being as confused as everyone else was, and as old town road was the only thing I knew Lil Nas X had made, I passed off the album.
Fast forward to 2 years later I finally decided to give it a listen after remembering it existed. And omg. I cannot believe I passed this album because of some goofy song and some bizarre advertising because this thing is genuinely amazing!

I keep going back and forth on my rating but I think it'll only really go down from here. Most of the album is just kinda flat and some of the mixing gets mushy I feel. With every album they show that they are a "metal" band that are scared to be metal and it becomes more of an alt-pop album with djent in it.
Vore is the best song by a long shot. Chokehold, The Summoning are okay but I feel like they can't be listened to constantly and I do quite like Ascensionism icl.
The aesthetic and sound of this album is immaculate. Written and produced amazingly and is everything I could've wanted to follow up how amazing softscars was
This is honestly such an amazing project and there's very little I'm not in love with
The new wave themes on this album really do elevate it and has given birth to some amazing songs like cascade and melt
Amazing debut album, honestly still can't believe it sounds this amazing while being from the 70s
Honestly, this album doesn't do much great at all, the flows are boring and stale, the tone is not enjoyable and the effects on the voice don't help that at all.
The producer did his best and helped made this listenable especially in some cases where you could zone out the vocals.
Ecco also saves songs from being unlistenable and provides something good to the tone of the two songs he's in.
But there is one thing especially it does really well...
It makes me appreciate the good ... read more
Hadn't heard anything about Poppy in about 7 or 8 years to then going to listen to this. Honestly, I'm stunned at how good it is
Didn't like it on my first time listening and I'm still not a fan of her previous projects but there are some really good songs on here
Peggy must have been bit by a chef cause he's cooking again
