Title is so Christopher Owens. I love this so much. AOTY!
This album is fresh like first love, first crop, beginner's luck etc - unadulterate pure expression bursting forth from his heart. It just happened to come together perfectly.
Last half of the album is much better than the first so don't give up on it.
If you like dreamy synthy soundscapes, listen to this!. It also has a tiny touch of stomp 'n holler. i know it sounds odd, but i got lost in the most amazing way listening to this.
RIP drummer Semin. I can hear the grief and sadness in the undertones of this seemingly upbeat album.
Condolences to the band.
Up until now, before Kendrick's release it was rated number 1. The number of plays on both spotify and yt are not that high. At least not congruous with the amount of high ratings and praises. People gave it a listen or two and raved about it only to never listen to it again.
Sweet album. I imagine 3 peas in a pod jammin in their parents garage in OC. Unembellished great bops n melodies with a sprinkling of melancholia.
Instant bops: Kaizen and How I'm Feeling
Faves: Take A Trip, Worry, Left to Fall Behind
If you like psych tinged indie pop, give it a listen. This is Shaun Fleming, the ex drummer from Foxygen.

A cautionary storytelling of Hayden's alter ego had she taken the wrong path. Every song is a chapter in a book. You won't be bored!
If I had to choose favorite songs that can sound great as a stand alone instant hits, it would be American Teenager, Deep cut faves are A House in Nebraska, Hard Times, Strangers, Sun Bleached Flies, Thoroughfare .
Beautiful album.
Have you ever felt you can't decide if a song is good or not? the whole album is like that. I felt numb. There was one song that had a glimmer of bop - I don't have control sometimes.
DEBUT WITH DUALTONE RECORDS PRODUCED BY BRAD COOK (WAXAHATCHEE) AND MIXED BY JOHN ASHLEY (THE WAR ON DRUGS). No wonder it's so good and mesmerizing. Great Sunday evening tunes.
