Fela Kuti is THE standard for Afrobeat and it shows. Sorrow Tears & Blood is just such a phenomenal track and I always dug the Bilal and Common cover too. Super jazzy and groovy all round, a great compact lil album

holy fuck they made rag n bone man lock in. immeasurably excited
Language barrier or not this album is awesome. I listened with the English translation a couple times and man is it great. I can't talk on the rhyme schemes or such but the lyrics are powerful and comments on the violence, injustice and racism in Brazil during the 90s. The production is A1 with some great beats blending funk and hip hop expertly. Overall, even without understanding a lick of what they're talking about, it's still a fucking solid album.
