why is the new meta dropping generic downtempo house music? First tame impala and now this
“Yall got good songwriting & song structure?” “Nah we got texture”
“I’m gonna let me be angry cus I tried to be fine for too damn long”
This record really resonates with the way I feel as a jaded 24 year old who got into indie music as a teenager. The production feels like the making of a man who’s spent his life making & enjoying music in all shapes and sizes., jumping from traditional country to electronic influenced indie pop in a natural way that makes the pacing feel refreshing upon numerous relistens. The album feels ... read more
Solid collection of redos that for the most part improve upon the originals. Nate has a great way of writing catchy & emotionally resonant songs that makes me wanna keep returning. Standouts are “But You Just Woke Me Up” and “Holo Boy”, the latter of which being a year end standout
It’s good but it’s not nearly as personal as Clancy was. Clancy really reminded me why I loved this band when I was 16 but for who I was a year ago. It’s good it just doesn’t hit the same yk
Geese r so fucking COOL dude coolest band out rn this is such a killer record. I'm obsessed with the producion and Cameron's songwriting/vocal delivery and the guitar & the drums and that BASS bro this whole thing is killer. I got into Geese through Cameron Winter's Heavy Metal record and I couldn't be happier. 3D Country is one of my fav albums i've heard in years and this is up there with some of my favorite bands' debut records. So fucking good dude shoutout ... read more
This is just damon albarn jerking himself off with super expensive pop producers then slapping gorillaz on the package. This is hardly a gorillaz album, at the very least gorillaz at their most artistically bankrupt. Other than a select few songs their musical identity is nowhere to be seen. Title track is killer & it’s All downhill from there. If this is the last gorillaz album, what a legacy burner this is
At first I was majorly put off but for some reason this record has just been sticking around my rotation since last August. What used to be off-putting to me is now unendingly endearing and I can't help but love this album. I love the messy production and the strange out of pocket songwriting. Such a unique little project
On my like 8th fuckin listen this is KILLER bro!!! Not a single dull moment on this record. Came out of the blue & blew my ass out the water fr
One of my most anticipated albums this year and it absolutely delivers. "Easy My Love" could easily be considered an indie folk classic somewhere down the line. Such earnest and captivating songwriting, vocal performances and instrumentation. Check this out fr
