the perfect dance/disco pop album. does what it says on the tin, an amazing blend of nostalgia and futurism. super consistent front to back, nothing but bops. i revisit it at least once a year.

this album got me through a pretty dark time in my life, which i'm sure is a common theme given its release date.

even though it's thematically rooted in that moment of time, I feel like it's still aged so well. sonically it opened up my music vocabulary to things far beyond what I was listening to up until that point. in some ways, this album was the catalyst that pushed my love for music to an entirely new level.
