This is such beautiful album, if I could understand the language this would be even higher, and the backstory of the album makes it even better
Maybe I don’t like old hip hop, this lowkey didn’t keep my attention the whole time. I think it’s so chill that I could fall asleep listening to it. It doesn’t mean it was bad, it just wasn’t that interesting to me
Look, I know it’s really low for an album of this high acclaim. I’m just saying a lot of these songs sound the same with the dark beats and lyrics about gang violence. It’s not the most replayable either beside Survival of the Fittest and Shook Ones Pt.2
It’s very influential to hip-hop music, but the flows here are basic, the rhymes are simplistic. It feels like an on the spot freestyle on every song. That being said it really doesn’t sound bad and I like the Aerosmith track and the title track
Why isn’t more Los Borges tracks on here. I like his songs more on here, but there are only 6 tracks of his on here. Anyways enough gripes, the music is musically great, I’m not really into foreign-speaking music except for Fishmans. The first, third, and twelfth track (I’m not trynna spell em) are my favorites and are definitely getting added
More blues influenced than other records they would do in the future, it was super influential how they mixed it with hard rock and psychedelia, and it aged pretty well
I heard this album about 5 years ago and I do not remember it being this good. In fact, I think it has eclipsed the fourth album as the best Zeppelin project for me. The Lemon Song, What Is and What Should Never Be, and Heartbreaker are fantastic tracks that I really don’t remember admiring as much as I do now. The experimenting they did on this is ten times more than most artists do now.
This might the most uninteresting future project, nothing here is that good other than Solitaires (which Travis kinda carries imo), Ridin Strikers, and Life Is Good. It’s also why is it so long, it could’ve been slightly more bearable if it was like 11-14 songs
Imo these two really don’t mix well here. Juice WRLD is more emo rap and sounds really sleepy on a lot of these tracks, meanwhile Future doesn’t give an amazing performance himself. There are some good songs here tho
Always coming out with solid projects, he delivers his third EP and it again lives up to expectation
Motorcycle Drive By and Oklahoma Smokeshow are always gonna be favorites of mine
My favorite project from Zach Bryan, I think with this one he finally found his signature sound
A downgrade from the previous album but still an enjoyable listen. This version of Heading South imo is better than the single version
A very long but consistent country LP with too many favorites to list
A really good country album with solid performances from the guy the LP is named after. Jake’s Piano - Long Island is a fantastic song and def my favorite from the tracklist
Pretty much a longer version of his self-titled album he had just released a year prior with favorites including 28, Oak Island, and Pink Skies
Pretty bloated project here, but like every one of his albums he finds a way to keep it interesting and unique with new orchestral elements added
Even more of a psychedelic experience on this one. It’s pretty entrancing even if some of these songs aren’t the best. Very solid
The stretch from Heart of a Lion to Cudi Zone is one of my favorites in hip hop
