Run-D.M.C.'s guitars stopped being a gimmick on Raising Hell. The album's minimalist beats and simple but deft sampling and scratching allow plenty of space for the hard rock to really scream.

Brief Review: While very primitive in its style, “Raising Hell” is a really fun rap rock album. Considering these guys pretty much revolutionized rapping, this really shows the talent they really had. Flows are great, instrumentals, again primitive, but fun & the bars are pretty solid too. Ensimmäinen rap julkaisu jota voi oikeasti pitää hyvänä albumina. Albumilla on heikompia kohtia, mutta on yllättävän tasainen kokonaisuus. Paras kappale on it's tricky mutta toisin, kuin sitä edeltäneet albumit ei koko albumin identiteetti pyöri yhden kappaleen varassa ja kaikki muut ovat heikon tuntuisia.

It’s very influential to hip-hop music, but the flows here are basic, the rhymes are simplistic. It feels like an on the spot freestyle on every song. That being said it really doesn’t sound bad and I like the Aerosmith track and the title track
