This shit goooooooooooood. The rerecording of Kara no Waremono is literally one of my all-time favourite tracks.
Decent. Macchu Picchu, Under Cover of Darkness and Taken For a Fool are bangers, but the rest of the tracks don't come close except maybe Life is Simple in The Moonlight.
Pretty good! Reptilia is a staple, 12:51 gave us my favourite Strokes anecdote of Nick Valensi being asked why he didn't just use a synth rather than making his guitar sound like one, What Ever Happened is a great opener with a red bull can's amount of energy. Other than that, it's just a solid garage rock album.
It's actually pretty solid, Idk why this album has such a (comparatively) low score. Better than Room on Fire.
S'aight, I guess. Maybe I'll listen to it again to see if any relistens can change my perspective, but for now, it's just aight.
There is no review. I just want to point out that that's Wikipedia's unofficial anime girl mascot, Wikipe-tan on the cover.
This shit bangs, yo. Love it. Farewell is a shoegaze masterclass, Pink is pure garage-punk slamming, you know Electric is baller since it makes a literal one-note guitar solo sound like the most badass thing ever, Afterburner is underrated (at least by AOTY's individual track scores on this album's page); it's wonky, slow and heavy in all the right ways, and Just Abandoned My-Self is just pure headbang music. Fantastic album, would listen to regularly.
Pretty damn solid. Ibitsu is kinda too good for this album. It's like miles ahead of every other song. Maybe that opinion will change, but right now, Ibitsu will be the only song added to my playlist. The rest of the album is still pretty good tho. Flows nicely and sounds bangin'.
Pretty damn good. Less an album in the traditional sense, more a 70 minute song with a 14 minute long intro and a 21 minute long outro. True to its name, it is the exact audio equivalent of a flood in a musical sense. You can legit feel like you're drowning while listening to this. The 1st part foretelling the flood to come. The 2nd, a beautiful representation of trudging through the waters. The 3rd, a heavy track that captures being swallowed up and drowning. And, finally, the 4th ... read more
I'm a solo Stroker, but that's just cuz I don't have any friends to listen to this with haha...
Solid EP. I didn't really care for the White Ceiling demo. Surprising since White Ceiling is literally my favourite song of all time, but the demo feels to bloated for my tastes. The sound palette also threw me off since it sounds like an After the Magic track rather than a TSTNPoTD track. Ending Credit was really good tho. I know it's probably a demo, since it has elements of other songs on it (for example: Excuse's drum beat and Age of Fluctuation's bell melody), but, ... read more
Pretty damn solid! Mayonaise sounds like Chicken by Parannoul, or I should say Chicken sounds like Mayonaise since this album predates TSTNPoTD by a good 27 years lol.
